  1. There was honestly no reason for this to be made, people can try and politicise it but it was just a desperate attempt to grab headlines and controversy. It wasn't the most uncomfortable I've been during a movie I think for that reason alone, it just felt so thirsty to shock that I just couldn't be.

Netflix is getting there. What does Showtime have though? Homeland hasn't been that great since the first season. Dexter is over.

Nothing that's setting TV on fire. They have Shameless... which is atrocious nowadays. Masters of Sex is the only one I sometimes hear rumblings about, apart from Homeland like you said.

Twin Peaks revival is coming next year for them.

AMC has dethroned HBO with quality shows like Mad Men and Breaking Bad. The Walking Dead is a good rival to Game of Thrones in following. Netflix is on the way if they weren't too busy wasting money on Adam Sandler films. I haven't watched Orange is the New Black but that has gathered quite a following. I don't get the appeal of House of Cards, it is the most boring show I've seen. Narcos is a lot of fun though.

Netflix also has the good Marvel TV shows, aka Daredevil and Jessica Jones. Luke Cage is coming out soon.

Making a Murderer, although a stand-alone season afaik, was huge.

For HBO, even CW shows have higher-critical ratings than Vinyl did. It was a poor investment, funded because of the names involved and not for quality.

How do you seperate the influence of Usher and Timberlake from MJ?

In JB's music? I don't really hear MJ in Justin's sound, I hear a watered-down version of Usher/JT who in turn were inspired by MJ. Like I said before, you could keep tracing it back to who was influenced by who, but then that'll just leave you with the same list over and over again.

Justin's more recent music is also EDM-inspired.

Okay, well take todays most popular and biggest selling popstars... Beyoncé, Timberlake, Bruno Mars, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga... they all cite MJ and Prince as two of their main influences, and you can see it in their stage costumes, their music, their videos, their choreography.

Justin Bieber is a product of Usher and Justin Timberlake's era of music, he may find MJ inspiring but his music is more reminiscent of those two (Usher for more obvious reasons). Lady Gaga is more a product of Britney and Christina's era. Beyoncé debuted in 1998, so I'm not gonna classify her as being of 'this' gen.

Beyoncé and Timberlake are already at the stage where they've influenced the younger generation of artists.

I suspect she will continue to call for referendums if the price of Mars Bars go up. Apparently that is the Scottish way now, to call independence referendums whenever unpopular legislation is passed.

Way to over-simplify Scotland's position in this.

Alicia Key's take on How Come U Don't Call Me Anymore or Alien Ant Farms Smooth Criminal or Chris Cornell's version of Billie Jean, it's fucking everywhere.

Those songs are old af, so I don't know what you're trying to prove by using them.

If you wanted to make a list of 'influencers' and then say "well, they were influenced by this even older group/artist" you'd never see the list change, that's boring. A lot of the people on this list were able to take the music they were inspired by and add their own mark on to it, which you can see in artists around in the most recent era of music (2010-onwards). I'm sure you would be overjoyed at another generic list with the Beatles and Elvis reigning supreme, but that's played out and tiresome.

Well I hope he crafts some songs that fits better with GnR and not the, drop acid and bounce around, stuff that I've heard.

He produced the intro to this song:

And I don't personally like them, but he produced this song:

Back before he was known as Skrillex, he went by his real name Sonny Moore and was in a post-hardcore band called 'From First to Last'. I'm not even a huge Skrillex fan, I just find his compositions interesting and think it's a disservice to box him in as only being able to create a particular type of music.

Yeah and even live mixing is like playing an instrument. Some easy instrument but it is. David Guetta and some other EDM shit djs really just go everywhere and press play on the same premade mix of 90 minutes

Right. Anyone that thinks producing to the level of Skrillex is easy either doesn't know music, or has a restricted view of what it is. A lot of skill goes in to crafting songs that he creates, whether you personally like the outcome or not.

Not to mention that he's shown that he's a very dynamic producer too, he can fit into pretty much any genre and execute it well.

  10. I hate the far-right groups saying not to politicise her murder, when you know if it were a British-Muslim or a refugee, they would be foaming at the mouth with the opportunity to fear-monger some more.

Even if the guy didn't shout Britain First, groups like those are responsible because of the hatred they've riled up which is causing monsters like these to take action; they feel as though their violent actions are justified.

Yeah, the hyper-cucks on the Reddit mod team have been VERY busy the past week censoring every post and comment that diverts from their narrative. Their SJW-esque behavior is just driving more people to The_Donald sub-reddit.

I don't think deleting updates about Orlando, information on where to donate blood and telling people to kill themselves is very SJW-esque behaviour... people throw that term around for everything it seems.

Back to the topic at hand, apparently he'd been visiting the club for years. I know recon can take time, but it seems more likely there was a lot of internalised hatred that led to this. He used to beat his ex-wife too, apparently. Someone who's prone to violence + internalised homophobia does not equal a good thing.
