Just my opinion...you can think different.

I’ve said it many times, I’ve enjoyed the NITL show Ive attended A LOT...

But when I watch some live footage I just think Slash is noodling and deforming his own solos in a way I dont like that much...Im not saying he sucks, or he should be replaced hahahaa its Slash, I love him and want him there...but I feel that way about his playing, he seems he wants to end the songs as fast as possible

I think he tries to overcompensate , look when you have a guy like Richard in a band, who is more skilled technically than slash (i'm not saying Fortus is a better guitarrist then Slash, or more talented), i think that's the reason why Slash tries (wrongly) to put a lot more notes in his solos, like to just prove a point, HE is the lead guitar in Guns N' Roses.

Ps: I'm very ... hungover right now and english is not my first language in case none of that makes sense haha.

According to Marc Canter, those songs were songs Slash had written parts on before he left (or based on Slash ideas):

Axl was cracking the door open and saying to me  “If  Slash apologizes publicly for the things he said about me in the press I have three songs that he could play on the new album”.  They were three songs that Slash had written on and Axl wanted to do something with them and include them on Chinese Democracy which would have been cool.

So this excludes at least most of the songs we know. Maybe it was Oklahoma and/or Hardschool, Quick Song maybe, or maybe 1-2 other songs we don't know.

I still think Slash IS the guitar we hear in oklahoma

  3. I believe it's a good thing the removal of the videos.

Simply because it makes the experience of seeing them live at the gig more special.
They are onstage performing for the people who bought a ticket to the show.

We're not entitled to the youtube video so we can post our shitty opinions on Axl's weight, if Melissa should be there or not, or how bad Frank is ...

i'm ok with reading reviews from the people who went to the show

Fat and fit people will be equally right if they point out Axl has gained a few. Why do you have to be fit to point out someone else is overweight? That's stupid. Whether I am fat or a stick has no relevance on someone elses weight. This is like those people saying to people who criticize "let's see you do it". Seriously? Only applying that logic to select scenarios is dumb, we can also criticize movies we saw and point out if they were shit even if we can't make a better movie ourselves because we're not movie directors ffs.

    So ...you're fat too huh?

For just a 3 minute track, its pretty interesting

The lyrics are a little silly but I appreciate them because it sounds like honest Axl. The verse melodies are very early 2000s pop, but it sounds cool with the little piano intro and lead guitar lines. The chorus is classic Axl and heavy as hell and then the solo is great. I also dig that its Verse/Chorus/bridge/Verse/Chorus. Its to the point but also a little different in terms of structure. Sorry's structure is similar with only one chorus before the bridge.

I think this is an awesome GNR song and what I want from unheard material. A finished version would be great

Crazy that this and State of Grace didn't exist to us a few months ago

Actually it's : verse, bridge, verse, bridge, chorus

But who knows maybe it is about Matt sorum

Maybe also it is about Matt sorum because he was never a yes man and done things his way also but I really think that it's about Kurt cobain

But there's still the line "to save what we had".

Izzy and Axl were friends since highschool

Axl and kurt didn't had anything.

Unless you want it to be about cobain.

The to extend myself and lend you my hand part is about axl offering nirvana to go on tour and but you had to be a fool had to do it you're way had to be a fool had to throw it all away part is nirvana refusing to go on tour and I thought you could be more of a man part is kurt's suicide and axl calling him a coward

don't think so ...there's still the "save what we had" line.

i think it's about Izzy cause we all know how "cool" Izzy is and how he like to do things his way.

  8. i think any band have the right to manage which videos , audios , etc. are out there for you to see/hear them.
this new era of  cameras everywhere is really sad for any artist that perform in front of a crowd.
in a way they are protecting themselves from bad ...i mean awful presentations like that bridge thing disaster.

If i own a band i'm gonna try to look and sound the best for the material that's gonna be for the fans.

I'm still shocked that axl and slash are sharing a stage again, and that for me compensate a lot of the "no new music release" (still) and the deleting of things from you tube

By the way as soon as i knew they where on youtube after watchin some , guess what

i downloaded them to my pc ...all those gems

    Saskatoon , ritz, etc ...

You didn't knew you could do that ???
