There were targeted ads on my Facebook to win tickets for Toronto. We're talking about one of the shows that actually sold out. The comments on it were pathetic. People were confused because they thought the band had split while others said they wouldn't see Guns without Axl (assuming he was permanently in AC/DC). How could they fuck up the promotion this bad? Not that it matters for Toronto but it shows how a few billboards aren't enough for the general public and the lack of communication/clarifying things with fans. There are still people who have no idea what's going on or what the line-up is. What a shit show.

What they need to do is play the following type of promo video on TV,  Facebook. ...everywhere so there is no confusion as to who is in the line up.

Axl probably came into rehearsals and they said "hey man we are on Jungle, want to jump in?"

Axl: "sure haven't sang this in a while"

    ok here we go

Axl (Mickey voice) "DO YOU KNOW WHERE the fu*k you are....(tears start falling) (full 91 rasp) YOUVE BEEN THUNDERSTRUCK!!!!"

Slash: "GODAMNIT Axl this isn't ACDC"

Axl: " oh thanks Slash you didn't have to remind me" (runs out of room to call Angus)

    funniest thing ever!

  3. Awww, I know Axl had the time of his life singing with AC/DC...but I hope he is getting excited about fronting GNR again!!!! I know I am. Speaking of GNR, I took a road trip today and heard YCBM and Nov Rain on the radio. Our boys are still rocking on the radio! :headbang:

I see Stephanie Seymour is trending on Twitter for referring to the current days models as "Bitches of the moment"

seems she knows who she was, and staying true to form.

    Ha! No doubt!

That is really sweet. It melts my heart knowing that they came there to make Axl happy, I'm pretty sure it means a lot to him . Dammit, this story makes me wanna cry more than all the stupid romances.

I hope they won't start breaking another part of Axl's body whenever they need to get closer :max:

He used to have gorgeous hair. I'd like to touch it, feel it :P Let's take a minute to appreciate it

    It's in this article : http://articles.latimes.com/2011/dec/21/entertainment/la-et-12-20-axl-rose-interview-20111221

"This mistrust is partially the reason why Rose's current management team is more family than business partner. It's headed by Beta Lebeis, a Brazilian woman Rose met when she was his ex-girlfriend Stephanie Seymour's assistant; she began working for him after his tempestuous relationship with Seymour ended in 1993. Lebeis' two adult children, Fernando and Vanessa, round out the management group. Lebeis says that this arrangement is the result of an ultimatum she gave Rose after Guns N' Roses' most recent manager, Katsis, left the fold after less than a month on the job.

"We decided, 'No more managers,'" said Lebeis a few days after the Seattle concert. "Between me and Fernando and my daughter, we're dealing with the management." Lebeis added that she characterizes Rose as "more than a son to me," and that after Katsis' departure, "I told [Rose] if he hires another manager, I quit." One of the Lebeis three is almost always at Rose's side, be it in paparazzi photos or side stage during concerts, near the little makeshift dressing room that Rose frequently races into during guitar solos, or on that rare occasion when he actually sits down with a journalist."

I think it's a really shitty thing to do; it's totally an emotional blackmail thing, and taking advantage of someone who can be quite vulnerable at times - imo.

Thanks for posting that article...I had never read it, but sadly had heard that she had said that and I did believe it. Sad that it is true. You don't blackmail people you love or are your "family" , not cool!

  9. Slash looks awesome! Duff too as always...so fit he is! Hopefully on the tour they can encourage Axl to lay off the booze so much and work out, because before this whole AC/DC gig in Europe, he was looking great(less bloated) Especially at the Las Vegas Shows.

  10. I am a toddler teacher and one of my students just broke his nose and has a bruised eye....so absolutely some certain children at that age can get hurt accidentally! It happens.  And as far as that new pic of the 3 guys.....I so LOVE it!!!!!!

stop overthinking...you're sounding like Axl ;)

but seriously...Illusions came out at a critical point in my existance (pre-teen) when you are at the age of becoming OBSESSED with a band/music...so for selfish reasons I'm glad it came out when it did and how it came out (two albums, sort of schizophrenicin nature)

I agree....I was 14 when UYI came out and I was very obsessed with GNR. Still am ;)....but on a different level when I was a teen! MTV was all about music/bands back then and GNR was a big part of that. Like I mentioned in another thread...when the Nov Rain debuted on MTV,  it was a big freaking deal. Definitely the right time imho.
