I just sum up a few of my thoughts:

The interviewer forgot a few question: where is slash? What about Matt and Gilby? When could we expect new music? Which music Will be on this record? Will you play new songs live in Brazil? Will there be a live dvd? What about old footage? Is there a chance for releasing stuff from 86-93?

Coachella was the main reason for a reunion? So you mean...MONEY was the real reason for a reunion.

The whole thing about calling slash, eating and playing with him sounds super professional. It seems like it's all about work between Axl and Slash. The whole story sounds very unemotional to me. Its all about business. Nothing more.

So...Steven could join the band on full term later on this tour?

And Izzy wanted to join first, but then he declined? It sounds like that to me.

Axl showed Slash and Duff the Rest of CD and this will/could be the new record?

Yes, where was Slash? As it happened backstage at a concert, he was definitely there. So they maybe just wait for a better opportunity ( and more money) for an interview with both of them????

Sounds like that. Axl called Slash because of all the money he will get for a reunion show with him ....  many slaxl hearts may break as it was not because they wanted to be friends again ...

By AxlCole on Axl & Duff interview

"1. When and where Axl and Slash met face to face after so many years "

I have the answer to that.  Someone I know spoke to Slash backstage at one of the shows and according to him, the first voice-to-voice contact was made with Axl calling Slash.  The first face-to-face contact was then made with Slash going to Axl's house for dinner.

    :wub::wub::wub::wub:

All this Slaxl moment ~  Axl made the first call :D He probably invite Slash for dinner in His house

Not sure how believable the source is, thinking how many comments on the internet start with: i know someone who met, etc ... and turned out to be made out of thin air.

Axl probably made the first call because Duff asked him too ... all those things happened because of Duff, doubt Axl would have picked up the phone to call Slash if it wasnt for Duff interventing ...

But if this is true, then it must have been kinda awkward for Slash, sitting around the Table with Axl, and the whole Lebais-Family - people who constantly hated on him, etc .. - ... and i am 100% sure that Axls 'family' was at that dinner too, as they never leave him alone ...

I just googled and that is indeed the woman Perla attacked.

Apparently she came to one of Slash's shows, Perla saw her, and then kicked her in the stomach.

Slash supposedly had an online affair (lol) or something like that with that chick.

I read that Slash and the Woman talked after the show with each other and Perla got jealous and kicked her. How embarrassing ... Perla always has this 'Ghetto'-Vibe with her, those vulgar words she is using, etc .. wouldnt surprise me if she is one of those people who slap you in the face just because you look at her one second too long ....

All the statues and figurines sort of reminds me of the inside of Neverland lol. It's not as bad as I thought though.. So what is Perla up to now that she and Slash have parted. She seemed very content in these videos.

Seems she isnt doing much, based on her IG, mostly spending Slash`s money with her new boyfriend, going on vacation, etc ...

You are right, that's really cute :) Uncle Slash and Aunt Meegan. :)

It's so nice to see how close Slash, Duff and their familys are. Their kids are like siblings to each other, it's awesome to see. One big happy family :)

Yes, cardiomyopathy  doesn't go away, it can be managed well but it's still here and i remember where i heard about the exercise, in the David Letterman's interview he said the doctors said him to do "minor exercise"

Okay. So it looks as if he is able to manage it really well

  7. 34 minutes ago, giuls said:

My uncle has a heart condition too, not the same as Slash but the word is "moderate" exercise for him, i read somewhere Slash jogs by doctor's order but after 3 hours where he runs, jumps and hold an heavy instrument i guess he has already done all the exercise he can do without fatiguing his heart, i don't know about the others, i guess they are simply tired, Axl is 54 and Duff is 52, your body starts to slow down in your middle age and you get tired more easily than before.

Does Slash still has his heartproblem? I read that he has his defilibrator deactivated and that his heart is at a normal size again (but i read that years ago).

Yeah, 'moderate' exercise would be the right thing for him, if he still has a heartproblem.

My dad had the same thing as Slash, he wasnt that lucky, he died a couple of years after the diagnosis, but he was also older than Slash

Edit: but i think the whole cart-thing is just to save time. Because all the running around from this place to that place would take up a lot of their time.

  8. So Team Brazil is managing GNR or Axl or both? I wonder how weird it must be for Duff, but especially for Slash, to work with them. They didnt have nice things to say about Slash back in the days and now they are crawling up his ass more or less (maybe just to please Axl, who knows).

This is rich coming from Axl considering his legendary work ethic. Going to the studio sometimes once a year or less during the Chinese Democracy era and missing innumerable rehearsals, sound checks, etc. "Working hard" in his mind means tinkering on pro tools and adding endless layers upon layers of synth, guitars, effects, etc. Slash has put out how many albums since 1995? How can anyone say that he doesn't have a great work ethic? The guy works tirelessly unlike the red head who wouldn't even allow them to play festivals in '95 when the band was falling apart despite Slash begging him to do it. Duff quit out of boredom since Axl was never showing up to the rehearsals. That whole Slash bit from his interview was pretty condescending.

What I "think" he means is that Slash probably didn't want to "push" himself by playing whatever stupid trendy music Axl was into at the moment (grunge/techno industrial and/or whatever other shit was popular in the mid 90's) and Slash didn't care at all about pro-tools and digitally raping the music they were trying to create. Axl on the other hand was much more interested in turning their raw demos into a soulless travesty on his computer. Therefore, Slash is lazy in Axl's mind. Makes perfect sense really.

Out of Likes. Thought the same things, thanks for writing that down :) Agree with you on everything.

video doesnt start there. and that writting gets stuck throughout the whole video.

 omg i shouldnt have posted that, now people are saying Meegan calls Slash looney tunes

    @Lumikki :unsure:

    thank you for explaining :)

Yes its something she added but its not pointing at Slash, it's pointing at Lulu and she's calling her Looney Tunes because of what she's doing and staying up when she should have gone to bed.

But the arrow is pointing at Slash, so doesnt she mean Slash with Looney Tunes? *confused*

@RooSaa Still out of likes, but thank you for posting that. More great CSI work from you! :P

I'm really bad at making stuff out from bad audio recordings, but from what I can tell, Axl starts introducing a new song (not BoB):

Axl: "This is song that... Izzy and I started writing in the same night, in different places at the same time (maybe he's talking about 14 years?).... I heard that!"

The "I heard that!" part most likely refers to people in the audience yelling for BoB (Axl reacted the same way to people in the audience screaming for Touch Too Much). This is also supported by the comments on youtube:

"My friends and I had row 40 floors aisle seats for this concert. When the house lights went out to start the show we made a run for the front row without getting caught. My best friend had a bootleg from the 80's with back off bitch on it. I thought this was one of the coolest unreleased GNR songs ever. Between every song we were yelling BACK OFF BITCH!!! and near the end of the set Axle finally heard us!!! That's what you hear in the recording! Thanks for posting this concert!!!"

"I can verify BeegLooU's comments. That was an amazing night. If u remember, I got caught when u ran up for Skid Row. Security said I could stay in 16th row if I stayed sitting (prick). I joined u guys between Skids and GNR. Baz kept telling me to stand up and I kept shaking my head. Haha. Wish there was video!!"

Slash then asks Axl what the people in the audience requested I think ("What have they got?"). Axl tells him and says "You wanna play that? You wanna play that?"

Axl goes on: "I have a really good reason to-" but gets interrupted by Slash saying "Why not?" Then there's some confusion going on with lots of "What?"s thrown around (think I even hear Duff there). Some more inaudible stuff, then Axl asks them "You can wing it?" (I think). Slash also says something about winging it and just throwing it out there for once and just doing it. Axl says something I can't make out and then Slash says something like "Alright, he said it was okay." (Maybe referring to Sorum or someone).

Sooo... basically I think things were still going alright at this point and the key to this mystery really lies in the missing piece of video/audio.

Best guess: After BoB, Slash said something about it, dedicated it someone or something, Axl wasn't really paying attention, but then when it hit him a few moments later, he got pissed, like Frey said.

I also agree with @cheesecake, it would be a good idea to ask about this in D&N. Maybe someone was at that concert and remembers.

you are welcome Lumikki :) thank you for writing some of the audio down. :) I thought it was Slash's voice who said 'i have a really good reason to', because it sounds so Slash-drunkish and Axl interrupted him with another 'you wanna play that' and Slash ask 'What?'  ... but i am probably wrong.

Yeah, the best option right now would really be to find someone who remembers ...

Another article said that there might be a problem with the stadium in vienna as it will just be available for around 8 weeks during summer - so maybe we will get gnr at donauinsel again or at kriau

Just read that article. What i dont understand is that there are 5 huge acts who wants the stadium summer next year. Shouldn't that be possible during 8 weeks?

Let's talk of something less heavy, the "fuck you, Slash/i love you too" case: @RooSaa i tried and basically what i hear, he's Axl wanting to try to play BOB, asking the others if they want to play that, Slash ignoring/not listening (?) because Axl repeat himself, Slash(?) go "what", Axl says it's BOB, Axl insists they got to play it and Slash said someting "fucking gro(?)" something , Axl presents BOB to the public, i guess the important bit may be the one i can't understand

Thanks for trying :) one time i hear Slash say 'alright, he said it was okay'', right before they start playing the song, makes me wonder who he was reffering too ... did he ask someone for permission to play it?

Anyway, the most important part is the one after the song, and that part is not there :(

  15. So this is the one Song that is missing in the concert-video. Only Audio ... Both Axl and Slash are talking in the beginning, can someone please tell me what they talk about? Cant figure it out, my bad english *lol* Sounds like Axl ask everyone if they wanna play it and Slash is not sure?

But the main-part - where they both stand in front of the mic -  is still missing - the next video the guy uploaded is only women bleed, but he left out the talking.

  16. New information about our Axl/Slash/Fight case here. The cut in the video, there is  a song missing, they played 'Back off Bitch' after Nightrain ... so it probably has something to do with that song + whom Slash dedicated that song too, which must have upset Axl ...

Thanks for the first picture. The rooftop looks much fuller than just Slash, Axl and some models. Proof that they just wrote that, to make a small headline out of a non-existing story ...

No, I think RooSaa is right and the key to this lies in the cut piece of the video.

    Here's what I think happened:

During the missing piece of the video Slash said something to the audience, making a dedication to someone or something.

Axl didn't really get it at first, but then when Slash started playing, it hit Axl what Slash had just said and Axl was either genuinely annoyed/pissed off by it or... fondly annoyed, in an exasperated or amused kind of way.

I wonder if the cut was because of battery change or because the uploader didnt want that the fight was on the video ...

    12 hours ago, Blackstar said:

Yeah, this is what I make out from the video too. I think Axl was really pissed off, judging from his reaction when Duff sat by him; he immediately got up and it seems like he looked at Duff angrily. Then, when Axl was off stage, Duff went to Slash and told him something (maybe consoling him?). And when Axl came back, he didn't interact with anyone.

This case gets more and more mysterious ... wish we could find someone, who was at the concert and remembered what happened that night ...

  18. 3 minutes ago, Frey said:

    Good work, CSI Team!

So we can dismiss the theory that Axl got upset about the song.

I guess the key question is what "little dedication" Axl was referring too.

Anyone know if Slash said something beforehand and what? Like @RooSaa said, they obviously cut something out of the video there.

And yeah, Slash probably didn't know either. The way he whips his head around at Axl's "Fuck you" speaks of shock and fear of potential Axl drama to come

Agreed about Beta, it's a shitty thing do no matter how you choose to look at it. Especially to someone who's kinda vulnerable in that regard.

I don't see Axl smiling, but I could see this as friendly ribbing. But I find it really hard to tell from Axl's tone of voice if he's actually annoyed or just ribbing Slash about something.

The key to solve our case is in the cut-out piece. Unfortunately that is the only recording i could find ... Slash probably dedicated the song to someone?

  19. 13 minutes ago, Whiskey Rose said:

For @RooSaa  I'm going to give another interpretation of Beta other than the one which seems to be popular here. first, I don't think she "blackmailed" Axl, the No More Managers or I quit comment came from the exasperation they were all feeling with the multitude of managers who came and went who didn't care what Axl wanted, but whose only agenda was a reunion when axl wasn't ready for it. She saw him get used and disappointed again and again and was fed up. And yes, I think she would do anything for her family..and guess what..Axl is family. To say that the Lebais' don't care for him just because he employs them is extremely callous towards axl imo...there are lots and lots and lots of family businesses in the world, are all those sons and daughters and brothers and sisters leeches too? Just to be clear, he is not paying them to be his family, they are his family whom he employs. Just because it is not the conventional type of family does not mean it is any less valid..they chose each other. I think a lot of people who are critical of this are probably sitting cozy with loving parents, a spouse nearby and children playing in the background..or if not, at least young enough where the possibility for this still exists..Axl never found this..to judge him for having these people in his life, or for wanting them to be out of his life, seems cruel and self indulgent. Everyone deserves a family right? And family does not necessarily mean blood ties. He finally has a house full of children, and people who he cares about who he can provide for..this is what he has always wanted. Just because it doesn't fit someone else's view shouldn't negate it. He is a grown man who can make his own decisions, he has decided he loves these people, he is happy, lets let them all be.

out of likes, thank you :)
