Looking at the area, it's absolutely beautiful. I'm looking forward to this.
Given the Slane fiasco and with this gig being at the end of the run, I'm hoping Uncle Ax is firing on all cylinders.
Ive been to a few shows in Marlay park although the last one was Metallica in 2009. Stage was located in front of the trees at the yellow tent, which is a much better location than the stage in this photo as the ground falls in that location. Also evening sunshine (if there is such a thing in Ireland) for those in GA may be annoying.

Breakdown and Locomotive are two of the most impressive songs on any GNR album. These two songs are the reason why I listen to UYI 2 more than UYI 1. If I had to pick between the intro of Breakdown to the outro of Locomotive, I would pick Locomotive. But like someone said earlier, I think the outro of both songs are more comparable. The intro to Breakdown is great, but nothing that fundamentally unique.
Add Estranged to that for me

No Ireland this time which sucks. Cant see me getting to any shows, Maybe Barcelona depending on Pearl Jams euro tour which is rumored to be at the same time.

It is Paul Revere’s midnight ride and that is the Old North Church in the background.
The British occupied Boston because the Massachusetts colonists were considered a bunch of rabble-rousers. Everyone knew the British would march on Concord to seize the armory there (Concord is about 20 miles outside Boston), but they didn’t know how or when.
They devised a system where they would place one lantern in the bell tower of the Old North Church if the army was coming by land, and two lanterns if they were coming by sea (sneaking the army across the Charles River in the middle of the night).
One night, the British launched boats and tried to sneak their Army across the river. Paul Revere and a few other riders rode off in the middle of the night to warn everyone that they were coming. They woke everyone in the towns on the way to Concord and all the farmers grabbed their muskets.
By the time the British got to Concord, the colonists had moved all the arms and had mustered a large group of Minutemen from all the surrounding towns. They met the British at the Old North Bridge and it was a running bloody fight all the way 20 miles back to Boston.
The details of the lithograph are spot on with the two lanterns showing in the window of the old North Church and the Paul Revere statue is only a short distance away in sight of the bell tower.
I love that a lot of these lithographs take advantage of the local history as well as invoking cool imagery. It really makes them special and mine is going to look cool next to the two I have from the Foxboro shows last year.
Love some old US history.

Is this the first show listed as 'An Evening with Guns N Roses?' Usually means no support bands.

Is there any particular difference between the 2016 and 2017 tourbooks? I've seen them and own the 2016 one but I still have to look the 2017 version.
From what Ive seen, the live shots from the euro 2017 book are from oz, japan etc.

Hi,
i was wondering how many different tour programs there are?
i was at the London show and forgot to get a program, I managed to get one on eBay though, very happy with it but I've seen another on there that says it's from the London date and it's slightly different to the one I got.
The one I bought doesn't have the smoking bullets next to the gnr emblem on the front, also the pictures in mine all have him in the cowboy boots he wears now where the other one I've seen has him in the sneakers he was wearing last year. Any ideas?
Cheers
Must be at least 2 different books. I purchased one at Slane which seems to be a updated one from last year as alot of the venue pictures are from Japan & OZ from memory. There is one on ebay claiming to be bought at London (has the 2 smoking bullets on the front) must be using someone elses images. I emailed him to see whats the story. Will wait and see

Flying into Luton tomorrow morning at about 10. Is it cheaper to get a return train ticket online than purchasing at the ticket office.

do you know anything about bringing food and drinks?
At slane, you couldnt even bring a bottle of water past the first checkpoint (outside the village) which was about 1 and a half miles from the entrance to the castle.
