  1. Me and five friends flew to Birmingham to see them play wolverhampton. Of course the morning we get there we find out the thing has been put off till the 30th of aug, we were pissed, but alas we got over it, then he goes and puts out year zero which is one album I just can't bring myself to like, not only do I hate the concept, the sound is so last decade, but hopefully he will stick to only playing a few songs off that album and stay with the older stuff...

  2. I'm just not getting into it TBH. I'm not a fan of electro driven music, I like my guitar. This album just doesn't seem interesting enough for me to change my taste. And tbh I find the lyrics a bit laughable, even worse than With Teeth...

  3. They sound good. Different as a band can be these days. Looks like they might be a good live band. Don't they have a live album on the way or something? Or is that someone else?...

Over rated. The only really good part i hear is the song Burn The Withch, with your man from ZZtop. His name escapes me now...

It's hardly overrated, considering next to nobody talks about it. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's overrated.

Where I come from Josh Homme can do no wrong, and it is always talked about. Many even say its better than SFTD. Even my own father thinks this. So I think I'm right in saying it's over rated...

  5. Heard the new KOL track on MTV2, and I thought "eh" and changed the channel. They never ment much to me ayways, but the sound was better than what it was before. I have never heard of new chevelle and linkin park bore me greatly...

It's just a recording from the listening party, but it's good quality and you can hear all the songs.

I might just wait for the album to come out by this point; can't decide whether it's worth ruining it with a poor quality bootleg. :tongue2:

I already have about half of it and judging from what I've heard it may be the best NIN album ever. I'm like you though I would stay away from the bootleg, but studio quality tracks are around-apparently people have been finding songs on USB drives in the bathrooms of clubs around Europe.

From what I have heard, I thought it was the worst NIN album ever. Funny how opinions go isn't it. Maybe I judged too fast...

even if it was the worst NIN album ever, that's not bad considering every album theyve put out prior to this has been incredible. dont judge it based on other people's opinions though, there are some people and some fans out there who think the fragile sucks, or with teeth sucks and others who think they're masterpieces.

from what ivw heard, this is a really different approach for NIN but still maintains the essence of reznor!

    i'll wait for the album.

Sorry, what I ment was, from what songs I have heard from the album I think it's fairly bad. He is trying too hard, it doesn't sound natural anymore...

  8. I don't hate any bands, there are bands that I like and bands that I don't care for.

Focussing hate onto a band is just lame. What have they done to you?

Too right. There are many annoying songs and bands, but listing them is just stupid

True, opinions tell us more about the opinion holder than the actual thing the opinion's about. However...

Fascinating to learn what the hardcore GNR-ites dig/hate the most though... I thought i just didn't get wankers like Blink 182 because i'm Ozzy and never did the college thing.. (i associate them with that, but don't assume everyone who goes to college associates with them!)

For what its worth: Jet & the White Stripes make me wanna puke.

    and puke some more!!!

Metallica broke my heart after the black album. It hasn't healed yet.

I am glad that there is actually people out there with the same opinion on music that I have...

  9. Nirvana (bore the bollocks off me)

Clap Your Hands Say Yeah ( I think that’s their name, saw them live, they were horrible)

Sigúr Ros ( For give spelling, if you have ever heard of this band, you will understand my dislike for underserved praise)

I don't really hate any genre of music, as I believe that music can't be rated as good or bad, but as what the listener can understand and relate to and every genre has it perks...

  10. This is just a passing comment and not really related to the subject, but merely an observation. Fans of grunge that I know personally will usually jump at the slightest criticism of the genre. Which I find very strange, because fans of other genres that I know take criticism very well. For example, I live with a massive Nirvana fan, anyone who knows me knows that I really do not like nirvana, my dislike came from when I listened to a few of their albums and thought, grand, but then everywhere I read anything about them or spoke to any fans they were always proclaimed as this great amazing band, which I just don’t see, all I hear is another monotone band in a saturated world of monotone bands. So usually when a nirvana discussion starts, I field my opinion, and thus are glared at. And for what ever reason, my room mate then starts insulting GN’ and Mr. Rose, which is grand, because I understand opinions, and I build a bridge per say. But what I can’t get over is the willingness to argue over such menial matters as my opinion and the reason to bring an un related band from an un related genre into it. The only reason I can draw is that I won the argument and this is his try at making it personal…

  11. Eh, doesn't this discussion happen every few weeks here? IMO Grunge or what ever you want to label these bands as, produced two good bands, Soundgarden and Pearl Jam. Never found anything too interesting in the rest of the genre or what ever. And I will for ever refuse to recognise Nirvana and Kirk Cocaine as nothing more then the Mc Fly of that era…

  12. well, i thought it had good and bad points. the overall set design was incredible, the shattered glass bit was amazing. songs like eraser (esp aaron's intro...soo good), the big come down, and with teeth. bad points - camera work, sound. camera work was really bad i thought. i dont wanna see shots of the audience's hands and far off shots of the stage. AATCHB was very intimate, great camera work. this lost all sense of what its like to be at a NIN show. the sound was shit, it was way to clean.

also, i love something i can never have, but i dont appreciate it live. man the big come down sounds good live, jeordies bass sounds awesome. oh and was super impressed with josh freese, esp keeping up with you know what you are!

generally ok, but technical issues like camera work and sound annoyed me. the rehearsal footage is brilliant though, makes me miss jerome though <_<

Ya I know what you mean. The concerts were brilliant, the dvd just failed to capture te energy. AATCHB did a good job, but not quite the cigar...

I must say it did get me pumped again for the UK tour, amazing effects. The bit at the end of beside you in time where he "shatters" the screen thing, spine tingling. Overall tho, I liked and all that could have been more tho. Would anyone have an audio rip of this dvd tho, would be quite a nice soundtrack. Just as I expected, With Teeth songs sound better live. The shows looks so over the top. Another thing, any hidden stuff this time round? Beside the extras...

It doesn't come out 'til Tuesday here in the states, but my pre-order's already on its way. ^_^

My my, dvds come out first here as well? That is nice I suppose, well it's worth the wait...
