I am speechless that the so-called manager of a band talk like that about the die-hard fans, the ones who buy the most expensive show tickets, buy shitty deluxe box set, put 30-year old 'Shadow...' song back on the charts, etc, etc, etc.

I guess he likes more the rest of people, who says GNR is overrated and Axl is old and fat. :fuckyou:

    That's unbelievable!!

I can't stand that MFr. There are so many people who get the sense that this family has hit the jackpot with hooking onto Axl when he was the most vulnerable. Like mold, they slowly took over the House of Axl, & here we are. The main thing to remember is that it's not just 1 or 2 of us that feels the milk is sour, it's quite a few. I always trust my instincts.

Let me put it this way. Why is Axl interested in making an album with Angus but not with Slash? I really don't think Angus is going on tour without a new album. We still don't have confirmation regading Axl/DC but there are strong rumors

    Am I speaking hopefully by saying that;

Angus is older than the boys of GnR, & the reason Axl is doing the album/tour is because it will be the very last chance for ACDC.

GnR have a few extra years to possibly cut another album & tour, so Axl may just be prioritizing by age which project he should tackle first.

Maybe first tell him that you know he directed the videos of WTTJ, SCOM, PC, and Patience and congratulate him for his work. Then that you've always wondering about something in the WTTJ video:  is the guy who plays the dealer in the first shot, when Axl gets out of the bus, Izzy Stradlin? I'm not sure if you could also mention that there has been dispute among the fans about it

I sent a message to Izzy & Nigel Dick. Let's see if they respond.

  4. That's a tough one. I KINDA see Izzy in that shot. I watched a clip & the drug dealer is approx 4 inches taller than Axl,

I don't think we've ever seen Izzy's hair slicked back, it's been mostly hair in his face with a hat or bandana, but there is def similarities in facial features.

@killuridols Thanks for the link to the Nikki interview.  Really interesting.  I've been reading up on him a bit lately and have ordered his book.

Me too. Let me know what you think. After the Nicki/Slash interview I am  over Nicki Sixx..& now   over Slash. What's wrong with me? Have I fallen under the spell of bad-boys-know-best, mixed with Hot aging rock stars with movie star smiles?

Maybe the two shouldn't be in the same room together, the room can't take such bad boy hotness. :drool::drool: I need a drink of water.

  6. I just checked Ashba's IG out, does anyone else think he looks very feminine? It's the first time I've ever seen him without his hat on & I have to say he needs to keep that Slash-wanna be-top hat round about his ears because he looks much better with it on! And the plucked eyebrows and eyeliner, I'd really like to see what he looked like without all the muck.

What's with all these rockers trying to make themselves look like aliens!

Ha! I'm a total Slash convert.  He's sexy as hell to me these days.  Wooooo!  Also, someone on here said something about happiness being a magnet, I forget who it was, and I couldn't agree more.  He's got some magnetism going on there.

Out of likes, but that old magnetism is back, baby... it's back!

    Oh yes. Absolutely.

I watched my favourite riff with Slash and Nikki Sixx as well as Nikki Sixx's interview with Eva Mozes Kor, a holocaust survivor. He did this interview very well, very sensitive and sensible and ... I am in awe with him now. I am in awe with Eva Mozes Kor, too, of course. It is amazing how he turned his live around. He also talks about his addiction and tries to help addicts today. People like him amaze me. I really wanted to say that here.

I'll check that interview out, thanks!

I agree, I like the clarity with which they speak. Have you read Nicki's book? I'm  debating reading it.

I just came to say that I think Nikki Sixx is    in that interview!!!

I'm late to the game...but Slash is giving Axl a run for his money. :drool::drool:

My heart belongs to Axl, but Slash came off very spoon worthy. I thought I felt a little jolt in my heart when watching him. My reaction to Nicki Sixx surprised me, he got my motor running & I don't know if's the fact that these boys both turned thier lives around kicking their habits or what. They are like bad boys who know better... what an intoxicating combo.

Well, Jimmy Kimmel is Jimmy Kimmel. Part of his humour is to slag people off. After so many years my initial feeling about the interview was that Axl could have shown more self-depricating humour. That would have been cool. He tried and I think that's great but Axl never is self-ironic.

Anyway, the meds question or not. Whatever he is taking or not - it is not helping with be more going out, being more sociable so it doesn't really make a difference. So I don't really understand why you brought it up? (Genuine question.)  I agree that his face looks puffed up. Could alcohol, too. Or whatever it is he did to his face.

Jimmy got his chuckle in the opening monologue, then tried again with Axl & then again. It's one thing for his guests to go along with it, but don't alienate the guest which is like walking a tightrope with someone like Axl. I mean, after all these years, he's the one (at that time) that got the interview everyone else was clamouring for.

I brought up the puffiness because it could be a tell tale sign which could explain why he may not be as socialable as the others. Even if one is on meds for bipolar or any other mood altering med, it doesn't 'fix' you, it just helps you handle life better, it doesn't make you sociable & very often dulls your personality. Axl may very well be an introverted guy, or just a guy who socializes behind close doors, on phones, at each other's homes, etc...he's good at keeping his privacy...we don't even know who he's dating.

To me Axl looked rather uncomfortable on Jimmy Kimmel ...I have the feeling that Axl is severely ill, like having a bad depression not being able to do too many sociable things, being committed to dates and appointments, talking to strangers etc. He either looks childishly happy, drunk or bored these days. It is clear to me that something is off. So I don't expect anything of the guy.

I thought Jimmy was an ass on that interview. He got a good chuckle on using Axl  being late & then he overused it. Axl was a pro & a gentleman, but I'm sure it was palpable that Kimmel was digging for a laugh at Axl's expense.

I've always thought that Axl has the bloated version of being overweight. Any meds can make this happen, including meds for bipolar, manic depression, etc...he's hovering around the mid 50s, so we don't know if his blood pressure is good, his thyroid, his etc...he could be taking different meds for who know what...I just find his fingers & face too puffy, & they often will swell up & then calm down which is a sign of meds in his system.

Oh! I admire you for reading that book. I can’t bring myself to read that. Same that I can’t read Adler’s book. Those stories really get to me. All that has to do with addiction, especially heroin addiction, I can’t. I’d cry just reading the first page. Makes me extremely sad and depressed. To read first hand stories is very intense.

I understand. I've read Duff & Slash's great books, along with a couple of behind the scene books on GnR.

But, Adler's book...well...he's a good writer, when I was finished his book, I felt I needed a hot shower just to clean all those stories off me.

I’m watching the episode of my favourite riff with Nikki Sixx with Slash in it, worth a watch if you haven’t already seen it. It’s really interesting hearing Slash talking about music he likes and is inspired by, he’s such a passionate musician. Also he’s looking daaamn fiiiiine in it  :slash::drool:

Happiness really is a magnet. I agree with you that Slash looks Hot, almost like 10 years younger Hot, healthier Hot. When the tour started he did look older, weighty-er,  meaning more on his shoulders weight. Maybe with his relationship with Meegan, letting go of Perla, along with letting all that deep animosity from decades ago with Axl has him lightened up, it has changed his whole vibe.

Let that be a lesson to us all.

    Happy birthday @purplestargirl :headbang:

Picked up CD on vinyl for £7.99 today in a new record shop near where I live...going to be brave and give it a proper listen. They also had lots of live GNR recordings so might go back and get some of them.

I still have the first press of AFD that was my older brothers' back in the 80s. He still hasn't asked for it back yet, but his music has changed & no longer has a turn table. I listen to it rarely & it has a few scratches on it, but that's ok. I'll pass it on down to my own kids eventually. I love the interaction of vinyl, taking it out of the sleeve, looking at the artwork, blowing off dust, turning the right nobs, dropping the needle & waiting for the sound...iPod/iPhone is great but not as personal as vinyl.

If Axl is fat is because he wants to be fat :shrugs:

He clearly has all the resources, money and time needed to afford all the necessary for him to lose weight and look good onstage.

Duff is a great example of displicine and will to look good and stay healthy.

I agree. Axl may just be very comfortable where he is in his skin. Axl also strikes me as a person whom if everyone else is doing it, he'll go the other way. OR if people are trying to convince him to get fit, he'll shut down & refuse.

It's all on Axl's time, & no amount of coercion, or convincing will help.

I know I'm an old crone but I think they look so much better when they're wearing normal rock t-shirts and not t-shirts plastered with women's tits and arses and labia.

Agree. The porno shirts look like they're trying too hard to capture or stay in thier  youth.

Yes, I'm lookin' at you, Axl.

Did Duff full on start making out with Slash here? I can never figure that out. I also want to start crying when I see this because it's tender and sweet. Also notice how Duff is petting Slash and running his hand down Slash's back.

The way people are cheering....I do wonder.

Duff is fucked up as fuck, & needs to lean on his buddy for help to get un-fucked.

Often, the guys are talking to each other close to thier ears, they have talk right up close so they can hear each other over the music. I know it looks sexier than it really is, sorry to burst your bubble....
