  1. He's not pretentious, just friendly.

EDIT: Radiohead are currently recording. It seems the new album will feature drum machines again, as they did not play either 15 Step or Idioteque in the show for Haiti, meaning the machine is at the studio.

  2. Definitely my favourite band since late 2007. Kid A is my favourite album by any artist, with In Rainbows a close second. Some of their songs are just brutal (Everything In Its Right Place, Reckoner, Idioteque, Karma Police).

I went to see them once, they played in Chile back in 2009 and I got the chance to travel and see them. It was the best experience of my life.

Check out the videos of their concerts at 'Le Reservoir' in 2003. Only Thom and Jonny Greenwood played, did an acoustic set that sounds great.

My favourite performance by them is Reckoner in Japan's Saitama Arena, back in 2008. The middle section is beautiful.

The problem with Mew is that they sometimes try to be over-the-top smart. Then the music and the covers become shit. It's sad, because they're good.

Some of the covers on the list are good! I like the wolf one

  4. Radiohead - Idioteque

The Killers - This River Is Wild

    Muse - Plug in Baby

The Libertines - I Get Along

Mew - Am I Wry? No

    MGMT - Electric Feel

Arcade Fire - Neighborhood 1 (Tunnels)

    Arctic Monkeys - Crying Lightning

Queens of the Stone Age - Into The Hollow

Red Dress - TV On The Radio

I did it in like 10 seconds, but Idioteque is mi definitive favourite

    And I never repeat artists

  5. I will always remember the great lyrics -

    Don''t Look Back In Anger:

Slip inside, of your wife's behind,

Don't you know you might find

    A better place to play?

    Don't forget Wonderwall:

And all the songs that Liams on he's whining

And noel is completely crap at rhyming

    :)

  6. I've listened to it about three times, at first glance doesn't seem as good, easy or memorable as the other two. Some awesome songs, The Jeweller's Hands and Secret Door are nice. And Crying Lightning is one of the best songs I've ever heard

  7. One of my favourite bands, Frusciante is my favourite guitarist ever.

I like when Frusciante sings "Maybe" in Slane, I'm doing that in a gig next week, exactly the same version. It's so cool

There's this video (you can find it on YouTube) of Frusciante telling a fan to put his "Stupid fucking sign" down. He says it two times, and says something like "My guitar won't work if you have that thing up" or something, then starts playing Snow and fucks up and stops, for which the audience boos. There's another video in which you can hear him, at a gig the next day or something, saying "Hey, the kid with the sign yesterday, wherever you are, you can play my guitar after the concerts" or something. It was pretty cool.

  8. The Beatles made some commercial, selling music of no influence or whatever up to Revolver. From that point on, John Lennon's songs are awesome, and some of George's. It's sad that half of the Beatles stuff (the songs made by Paul) suck so much. Can't stand him and I'm not Heather Mills.

The Beatles didn't actually define anything IMO, the Stones defined a rock band.
