yes the magic does take over! saw them in Vegas 4-8-16 and magic is the perfect word! cannot wait til November in Oakland

I'm doing Denver tomorrow, Vancouver in a month or so, then Vegas and then each LA show. CAN'T F'IN WAIT. Just saw them in London too. So fucking good. They were amazing at Coachella and Dodger stadium last year but omg the london gig was next level. Can't wait to see what they start pulling out of the hat at these shows

Watch that Billy Joel performance from the other night. He sounded better on that then the entirety of the 2017 shows! Apparently the trend of AXL/DC vocal performance is still alive and well.

I think they just mean the "latest" tour. Axl seems so happy just because he find new sparks on his life.

If this was their last tour the messaging would be pervasive through all of their marketing. This is likely a misinterpretation by a copywriter or an idea they had on how to sell that slipped through to that particular ad. If we start seeing these all over NA it likely means their sales are below expectation and need a boost. Official word would come from the band if this was truly the last ever. They might be closed book types but no way they play their last 25 shows without everyone on every continent knowing this is it.

That said I'm not missing a single Forum show ????????????????????

Voice sounds a bit worn and tired. Some songs are good, those in his ballpark, Jungle, Patience, Civil War etc. Some are ok, Easy. He totally cops out on Brownstone. Some are bad, YCBM, PC, NR. My Michelle is unlistenable right now.

It's the consistent high notes in those songs. How many f'ing shows has the dude performed?

Do anyone here research or understand the bilogical restraints of one's voice?

The amount of "i think he just doesn't care anymore" conjecture is astounding

If you all care so much why don't you seek out an established, professional vocal coach and ask them

I'm very excited for these new dates. I scored my tickets for Louisville this afternoon.

As far as touring in 2018 is concerned, and someone can refresh my memory or correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember hearing somewhere (possibly from MSL) that Slash and Duff only signed 2 year contracts. Which means their contracts are up at the end of this year. Of course they can sign new ones, but I always had it in the back of my mind that they would tour as much as possible in 2016/2017 and when the year was up, and everyone was happy, they would continue. If not they could leave again and live off their touring money for the rest of their lives. There was even a rumor before the NITL tour that Axl wanted to retire. I'm not trying to stir anything up, just realistically looking at the situation. I personally want them to tour forever.

I wouldn't put much credence in rumors that aren't sourced. Axl is crushing and single handedly helming rock n roll right now between the insanely successful GNR tour and his stint in AC/DC.

Slash and Duff seem to be loving what they're doing. They get to be back on the road (which if you read either of their books is what they love to do more than anything). Axl has restored his reputation to a large degree. Fistfulls of money and there's still a TON of demand for them to either go tour new places or do another show again in any of the contients they've already ROCKED.

I think it's pretty hopeful and kindof naive for everyone on this forum to put so much emotion into  the idea that they "shoud, would and have no excuse not to be making new music"

If they do plan a new album, why not tour the fuck out of the world and get everyone possible back on the train. Then do the album?

Maybe Axl is doing AC/DC again. I sure fucking hope so.

Either way I can say with near certainty that NOBODY on this sub in December of 2015 could think ANY of this was possible. People picking it apart and bitching about this and that can't open their eyes and realize how astouding it is that all of this has and IS happening. I'm going to go to every show I can and enjoy the FUCK out of it while i can. Cuz once the last few rock legends kick the can or retire...its OVER

I do wonder what the sentiment will be among GNR "purists" when the tour is over, rock is basically dead, and all they have is this forum to share their negativity with

Given the actual selection of tickets in the Nightrain presale vs. the other opportunities for the original 2017 arena dates, I'd say don't spend the $45.

Seriously, look at this shit - exactly who does this benefit? (Spoiler... I know the answer.)

Heads up for those based in Los Angeles. The second night at the Forum (11/29) has its own presale/onsale dates. Not sure why...

    No idea.

I never expected anything outside of nitl for the Sirius show, as soon as I saw the flyer. I thought maybe Steven would possibly guest, but certainly nothing more.

Then Beta said Steven and Izzy wouldn't be there and there were still people here thinking they would be, just because she said they wouldn't. Think I'm the realist here, not the naive one.

Who knows, maybe we get sth special for afd30, but I'm not holding my breath.

    I agree with you.

If anyone actually listened to Guns N' Roses Radio on Sirius XM, duff recorded actual stuff just to splice between songs. In one of them he literally says "The thirti---wait what? The thirtieth anniversary? That CANT be right" he laughs and says "leave that part in"

I might have his dialogue botched to a degree but that's the summation.

I don't think anyone was actually expecting a huge turn in events except the die hard 'purists' who've been shitting on this tour from the day it started.

What empty promises? Axl told him he'd talk. Slash and Duff said they'd talk, and they usually do. Suddenly they don't. It's not a vendetta against Eddie Trunk, who BTW, broke the news of these 3 getting back together. So, thank him.

Axl talked to one person, with Duff, NOT SLASH. Won't even speak to steven, Won't deal with Izzy. Think about these facts...

When he delivers on the "first interview" these guys do for the whole tour then I'll reconsider

But Axl and Duff already did an interview for Brazil

He's supposed to be a know all rock personality and he didn't know they've been playing yesterday?? That's pretty pathetic IMO

Or maybe they rehearsed something he wasn't used to hearing GNR rehearse and thought it might be a scoop?!?!

Bet you didn't know this but, Slither was on a GNR setlist!

He always claims to have a "scoop"

I will be (bc it could still happen) more surprised if what he says DOES come true than if it doesn't

How many empty promises has that guy made?

I treat almost everything he says to get buzz going as BS until it happens

Interesting to see people here saying that GNR asked him to do it. No way.

Virtual Private Network, yes. Didn't know there was a free trial. Thanks!

If you have an iPhone you can download the Sirius XM app and enter in your "free trial" credentials. Once you do that you won't have to worry about where you are. The app is old and doesnt verify where you are connecting to the internet from. When I was in europe I used the Sirius app the whole time (Howard Stern). Never had an issue.

Depending of the hour it airs I'll be able to record it or not (because of the time difference). What I see is that it plays better from my phone (maximum quality and no loading stops) than from my pc, no vpn needed, just the sirius app. So if I catch it what I'll do will be plugin the phone audio jack to an old 2007 macbook with line in plug, use audacity to record and plug headphones to the macbook so I can listen to it, I've just done a test and it works.

I was in Europe in December/January. I have SiriusXM. I used the app all the time while I was abroad. I think it's the easiest and best way to access the show. Shouldn't be any VPN crap if you use the app.
