Axl could have reunited a lot sooner though which indicates it was a little of both so not just about the money. I think Axl had to be in the right place to move on from the negative feelings he had towards Slash. they belong together musically so it don't really matter.

Exactly! Money has always been on the table when it came to a possible reunion..The variable in this equation was Axl move on from all the negative feelings about Slash.

Instead, we'll hear "they should have done it this way or that way" when it's clearly obvious the actual artist didn't want to do it another way. That's why they are called 'artists'. I certainly don't try to critique Monet or Van Gogh by saying that they should have used this type of canvas, brush or stroke or the painting should have been smaller because I think there's useless empty space (that other fans enjoy BTW). I either like some or all of what they produced or I don't. Simple as that.

Agree 100%. This is one of the side effects that some of us suffer from being a hard-core fan. We get so involved in this that we often lose track of what exactly it is, so we create a conflict-filled relationship with the artist and often lose all the fun and become ourselves in a kinda psycho-freaks-just my opinion-fans!

I think for the general public all it matters is Axl and Slash

I agree. Only these two guys (together) are able to fill stadiums and, as a consequence, cause interest in the media. Duff basically returned to the band in 2014 and the excitement was restricted to the fans and some segments of the specialized media. And of course all the 2 decades of drama around them helped a lot on this huge success too.

As much as I love Slash, he has the same affliction the redhead has. They both seem to prefer yes-men/underlings who they can micromanage. One of the unfortunate side-effects of great talent is that you begin to think you're good at everything and can do another person's job better than them.

Well, IMO we can say that Izzy has  the same “problem” as his friends. Otherwise, during all those years we would have several partnerships of him with other recognized musicians or even w other bands..

I dont think insulting band members it is allowed here. Neither it is to insult their family.

I don't think the aliens or that shitty nanny with her kids or those cash grab tour guys agree with you.

I'm not saying people shouldn't voice their opinion but the way you do it makes a difference between criticism and nastiness.

Do you know where you are? Oh God! Hypocrisy says hi over here.

Talking about her spreading her legs and paid tits is misogynist and it reduces her to a disposable object, which is very wrong.

There is nothing more misogynist than this kind of agreement. According to this agreement a woman is unable to afford her own expenses, unable to work and provide for her own needs and even the children already receiving from the father enough money for their expenses she will be paid for something. And this something would be for what? For being his manager? Have the previous managers also received this kind of money even if they no longer provide services for him? For her support while they were married? So this support is something monetarized, so don´t take offense when treated as an object. Anyway..all this shitty goes against feminism (the real one) or any attempt to break all these patriarchal ideology. "which is very wrong".

Perla was married to Slash for more than a decade and has two children with him. I think not even Slash thinks so low of her, like some of his bitter fans do.

C´mom! He probably agreed to pay all this inasane money just to get rid of her.

You are no one to say how much she deserves or not because you've not been there, you don't know what she went through, you don't even know if he allowed her to work or not (excellent point raised by @alfierose, btw) and on top of that, she had two children and she's always been in charged of them. Actually, she is still in charge of them most of the time, so I'm sorry but what you think she deserves is just your fantasy, not the reality.

It's so surreal to read this sort of thing here at MyGnR forum. A place where we are allowed to express our opinions even though we don’t  know what really happens or happened to band members and/or  people around them. We try to guess or fantasize what happens or what happened and based on this we judge, blame, insult, depreciate ... It was always like this! So why does Perla deserve a different treatment? :shrugs:

Well, again "Steven should" posts... or Axl shoul, or Slash should...

They do what they know and what they want  and it's up to us to follow or not...

There’s a lot truth on it, actually that’s the real deal..but you know, people love to dictate what others should to do and intentionally ignore what they themselves should do. That’s kind sad too. :shrugs:

I don't believe anyone has 'demanded' anything from the band. We hope for new music, a different line-up and a change up of the set list and many other things. What we don't do is 'demand'.

Hmmmm..Maybe the way we express our “hope” on GnR things it’s can be easily misunderstood w/ an annoying demand. GnR fans has a lot to learn w Izzy’s fans. IMO.

do you guys think he wants to be a rockstar any more?  u think he regrets being one at one point in his life?  seems like he doesn't want that life anymore and that's cool.  we all change.

He doesn't seem to want to be a rockstar or deal with all that shit, his voluntary ostracism is proof of that. But he wants to get paid like one of them. :shrugs:

"They didn't want to split the loot equally . Simple as that . Moving right along........"(Izzy Stradlin).
