  1. Oh teh Axl! With is waggling and runnin arounde and more runnin arounde and his amazin lyrix about st00pid blax people, gays and teh women he was fukiking awesum! So much beta than teh real songwritaz like Bob Dylan!

  2. Axl Rose is suffering from the George Bush effect, whereby everyone with an ounce of intelligence hates him, and a multitude to idiotic sycophants fawn over him.

    Oh fucking yes.

  3. You’d seriously rate Alien as the best album of the year so far?

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Yeah. It knocked me over sideways. 10 songs of inexorable rage and brutality. It really, really grew on me.

As for Meshuggah, I've yet to hear 33. I've heard a lot about the thing though; varying from "teh sixxorzest album evaaaaah" to "this is mundane, derivative shite".

  4. Id go with Frances the Mute personally....oh god! The controversy!

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Yet to have bought it. Is it better than De-Loused?

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

It's proggier, madder, more instrument based and epic...but, in part, it's quite incoherent. Fucking amazing album though, which you need to hear.

  5. fave songs:

    Bohemian

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Your 3rd favourite band, you love them to pieces...don't even know the name of their biggest hit, Bohemian Rhapsody? Idiot.

  6. Out of Exile. This year has been a better year for music than in recent years.

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

    A contradiction in terms, surely?

Oh, and Strapping Young Lad - Alien.

Failing that, Dream Theater - Octavarium, or Nile - Annihilation Of The Wicked.

  7. Some of the most overrated musicians ever, with an annoying, homosexual singer.

    They're great.

  8. They did it with this last one. It's up there with the best albums of all time. It's unbelieveable. It really is their best album. It blows away their debut and Morning Glory. It's impossible. It's so unexpected.

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

  9. Stormblast and Death Cult Armageddon are incredible albums.

As are Puritannical Euphoric Misanthropia, Enthrone Darkness Triumphant, For All Tid and Spiritual Black Dimensions

But COF are NOT in any way wannabes of BM.

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

They're not true satanists. Their image is pure pantomine. Dani Filth has admitted to being attracted to Black Metal purely for the image.

Plus, such is the Black Metal code, no Black Metal band would make videos that get regular rotation on Kerrang.

  10. or joey jordinson coz he one of the fastest metal drummers in history

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Which he isn't. The fastest drummer in the world can do 22 beats per second. The majority of metal drummers can do about 18/19. Jordison's record is nowhere near that.

Once again, not everything written on a website is true - and, the actual quote is "he is known as one of the fastest metal drummers in history". And he's only known as one of the fastest metal drummers because there are legions of plebian Slipknot fans who are under the impression that teh Slip are teh m0st hardk0re Metal band in teh world.

  11. All hippies must listen to Frank Zappa's We're Only In It For The Money. If you don't see the error of your ways, then there's no hope for you.

  12. money sticks out too much in DSOTM...it doesn't fucking flow...SKIP SKIP SKIP!

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Remember, in the days of vinyl, Money wasn't just another track in the running order; it began side 2, and was thus meant to begin the side afresh. It's not meant to segue with Great Gig In The Sky (indeed, the segue on DSOTM CDs is entirely new).

  13. Because they ARE Black Metal.

    Expert, are we?

It even said it on there official website.

Ah, because everything written on websites is the entire truth. Tit.

COF have been trying to be Black Metal for 12 years. They haven't succeeded.

There a melodic Black Metal band. Only because they use the dramatic dark-orchestral arrangements and different sound effects in there songs.

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

They're not Black Metal. They're wannabe Black Metal. They're not heavy enough to be considered Black Metal, and even if they were, they couldn't be classed so because there's not one genuine Satanist amongst them.

Now, Dimmu Borgir on the other hand, while playing similar music to CoF, actually has BM credentials.
