this is when axl reached his peak - freddie with elton
all down from there
You are right, but where do you go from there? For Axl a great honour. I suppose AC/DC might have some of that going for him too. A great show, the footage is amazing, that's a show I would have loved to be at.

Did Freddie ever meet Axl? Or say he liked him?
I don't think they met but I did hear that Freddy liked Axl, I think May said that sometime when talking about the performers at the benefit concert.

Here's an example:
You posted "Steven has proven he's unreliable" which is an opinion, not a fact. You used the example of him note wanting to go to Asia and Australia, which is a fact, to back up your opinion that he's unreliable. The fact that he didn't want to fly to those 2 places to play a couple songs doesn't make your opinion that he's unreliable a fact. It only serves to back up why you have the opinion you do.
So yes, you've posted your opinion as fact.I never stated it was as fact but it's a perfectly acceptable point. He has a history of being unreliable and relapsing and had to be replaced for the tour by frank due to injuring himself.
Having an opinion that he is unreliable isn't in the slightest bit strange. He has proven himself to be unreliable many times. Would you like a list of times? Many are quite recent.
What is strange is putting words in band members mouths. Stating that what izzy wrote on twitter was not what he mean't is not something someone should have an opinion on, it's not a matter or opinion. What he wrote is what he wrote, he said what he said.

You misread what I wrote so I'll rephrase. The only time you're not treating people's opinions as if they're stating a fact and then criticising them for it is when you're stating one of your own opinions.
I don't state my opinions as fact, so, again I have no idea what you're talking about and clearly nor do you. At least present some examples of what you're talking about, is that so hard to do?
I'm calling out the poster above for putting words in Izzy Stradlins mouth. Izzy made a clear statement, there was nothing vague about it. He said what he said and now people are saying he didn't mean what he said, it was about respect not equal loot. Wtf? What are you guys drinking? You don't get to change the meaning of words and sentences and then put your opinion out there as if it's just a valid as the original statement. If I have an opinion that red is blue and green is black, is that okay?

Ahh MadDog, always so quick to remind people to stick to the facts except when you're spouting your own bullshit opinions.
What opinions did I post that I stated were facts?
Would be curious to see what you find out as it's not something I do, it's the behaviour of an oddball.

Personally I think izzy was insuled that they offered him a deal fit for a hired hand.
And he conveyed that message with the phrase "equal loot". That doesnt mean he literally wanted everyone to earn the same exact amount.
It's more about respect
Izzy doesn't need you to translate his tweets for him. He said what he said, you should give the guy some respect and take him at his word, not what you think his word should be.

Yeah, @Darkenchantress already said it, Stizzy Stradler matters! And John Frusciante too, of course!!!
I don't wanna get into an argument with you again but I really hope you don't believe the bullshit you're trying to sell.
Steven was being invited to do guest appearances at certain shows (the band/tour didn't depend/rely on him). He declined the last offer because the conditions weren't good for him, that doesn't make him unreliable at all. It's beyond stupid to think and claim he's unreliable because of that. It's like saying Slash is unreliable because he rejected Axl's offer to (apologize and) play a few songs on Chinese Democracy.
Izzy won't tour because he wants more money (according to you) and Steven won't tour because he wants to play more songs (according to himself). Neither of them are unreliable, they just don't like the conditions they were offered and decided to decline. Simple as that.
Izzy won't tour because of money according to izzy not to me. So not sure why you are making out it's not a thing or why you think izzy is lying.
steven was invited for a bunch more appearances but turned them down because he didn't want to choose between Australia and or Asia and wanted more songs. He left the tour because he wanted things that were not on offer to him. If he had stuck it out maybe he would have proved whatever he needed to prove to the band, but he bailed and that's fine, he shouldn't be anywhere he doesn't want to be.

Yeah! Izzy cant tour! Steven cant play! WOW! These are facts!
Izzy won't tour because he wants more money.
steven has already shown he is unreliable by bailing after only a few dates because he wasn't getting his way.
there is no big mystery here.

There is fantastic artists like Sepultura...producing fresh and relevant music...others...nostalgia acts...that's it ?
Well that's how we like our rock music "relevant". I hear that thrown around a lot and I have no idea what it means or why it's important to anyone. By nostalgia act I take it you are referrring to GN'R? Would you rather they come out and not play the songs everyone wants to hear? Surely you can't be complaining about lack of new music from this lineup? You can't be that stupid, they've only been playing shows for a year or whatever how could they possibly be putting out an album already?

You two...
Go listen Sepultura's new cd...
After this we can talk about relevancy
who cares about relevancy? What does it have to do with anything? Do you like the music or not? End of.

What a logical way for a band to functien
You clearly miss the point of rock n roll if you think logic is an important ingredient in any of it.
You should check out Coldplay, they seem to have everything you are looking for in a band. Your singer won't say any bad words, no one will be offended and you'll get to bed on time.

I have never been a member of this forum before, so no idea what you're talking about. Shame you've got no balls, just come out and say what you want to say or don't say anything in the first place. What is it, a secret? Grow up, dude.

The '09-'14 lineup was the most stable GNR lineup eva. 6 years. With five members that were in the band longer than both Slash and Duff. After that, we all know Guns will never have a stable lineup.
It's still a "fake band" though, right? Even Tommy would admit that, right? @DR DOOM

I rate you 2/10 on the "fun posters" scale
I don't think it's fun that we live in age where people think facts and truths are nothing more than different "opinions". People who think that clearly are not too smart. They need to be reminded of that at every opportunity so that maybe one day they will learn that the world doesn't revolve around them or their deficit grasp on the basic principles of language.

FACT: Tommy was in the knock off Guns N Roses (as in, in name only) and never had a hand in writing any of the songs people actually went to see that Guns N Roses perform.
FACT: Tommy would probably admit that the above statement is a fact.
But yeah, how good is that one little bit in that one song on Chinese Democracy where you can hear his bass?
Inspired whole new generations of bassists that did.
There aren't any facts in your post. Not even one, here we have another person who thinks their opinions equals facts.
Did you not have an education? What's so difficult about knowing what words mean and then using them correctly? Facts and opinions are not interchangeable.
instead of wasting your time on here I'd suggest you get back to school and learn what words mean and how to use them because you clearly have no idea.

i dig stinson and the replacements. but i hate how he talks like he was an actual member of guns n' roses. like he wasn't just hired as an employee by his boss axl rose to write and tour behind axl's solo record. these guitarists he speaks of: bucketface, clownfoot - these guys were all employees, hired by their boss. they will never be gnr. ever. now matter how hard axl tries to sell it and slash and duff go along and play it, CD will never be a gnr record, and stinson will always be the bass player in axl's solo band.
In the fantasy world you live in I'm sure all the above feels very real to you. Facts however, are not matters of opinion, they don't cease to be simply because you have feelings. You can't change them because you don't like them.
Tommy Stinson was in Guns N Roses, fact.
Chinese Democracy is a Guns N Roses record, fact.
Axl Rose has never played or released music as a solo artist, fact.
Nothing you ever do or say in your life, no matter how much you want it, no matter how hard you try will ever change these facts. Facts, get it? Facts. I'm sorry if this "triggers" you, but you don't get to have your own facts just because you don't like something. Like you said in the other thread about something equally absurd that you were pushing as gospel; "it doesn't work like that, it's called bull shit".
