I think we're going to hear a majority of new tunes. My bet is they only fit the following 'old' songs into the setlist:
WTTJ (open, of course)
SCOM
NR
LALD
Brownstone
Nightrain
& PC (close, of course)
I would love to hear them pull of SFTD, but I highly doubt they'll do that.
It's time to let go of the past and many of us have to accept that. From what I've heard of the new stuff, I have no problem with that what-so-ever, and I think it would help the folks that can't accept them as GNR finally, as GNR if they play 80% new material that the new guys wrote together.
I think that's they're intention anyway. The new guys aren't going to want to play a majority of old songs to live off of. They're in this for their work, not the old guys work.
PS- why did this get moved? Seems like a pertinent conversation to what's been going on with the tour dates being announced.
I agree. Those are the classic songs that definately have to be played at a Guns N' Roses show, and the rest will be stuff the new band has put together. Then I think every so often they will throw in a couple more old songs.

there's a few on there, you'll need a delay pedal.
Thanks!

For some reason Paradise City always makes me feel better.

Bucket's solos are truly unique and probably very hard to play as well. I can see Finck and Fortus maybe improvising the solos a little so that they can play them. However, that is , if they dont get a replacement for Buckethead.
I agree. They could just improvise where the parts they are unable to play are.

I play various types of rock. My biggest influences were Angus Young and Slash.

I think SGs are great. I find them really easy to play and I think the sound they get is awesome.

Awesome tags!
I've got one with the Appetite logo on it. B)

By any chance does anybody have a tab for this part of Buckethead's solo from Boston 2002:

When I was listening to it I thought it sounded really cool. If anybody has a tab that would be awesome.
Thanks in advance.

I think it can be played in either Standard or half-step down, just depending on what positions you play the chords in.
-
At first I thought it was okay, but after listening to it over and over again I love it.
-
Sounds good, thanks!

Yes, it's about Axl and Stephanie's relationship.
Now we know why the title has double-meaning - Stephanie is a twat.
Good one!

I wish I could play like that.

I'm not sure what I'd rate myself.
Cool thread by the way.

I use either Gibson Medium or Gibson Heavy picks. For some reason I also prefer the larger picks to smaller ones.

Awesome post!
I agree, these songs are amazing. I can't stop listening to both of them. I just wish we had more of Better. My reaction to that song at first was that it sounds nothing like Guns N' Roses, but as soon as it kicked in it made me want to hear more of it.

I think they're gonna go with a single for a movie first.
And then promotion for CD will start this summer, and shitll get going into winter.
That's what I was thinking as well, but my main thought was that Slash might have been mistaken and that a single is supposed to be released in March, not the entire album.
-
I was just thinking about all the March release date rumors and how it's the middle of February and we haven't heard an official release date or had a single out yet. I was thinking that maybe could the March rumors mean that a single is coming out in March and the album a few months later? Sorry if something like this has been discussed already, but it was just a thought I had earlier today.

Welcome to the Forum.
Could you upload the songs so we can hear them?
