Can’t decide if I like the song or not. What do you girls think of the lyrics?
It sounds like soundtrack to some touchy movie, IMO.

If you look closely at Axl's picture, the guy actually has brown hair with a strand lighter in front, exactly like this guy.
Anyway, not many people go around wearing claws and eyes.

loooooooolI love the whole 80's vibe, the trashy room, Izzy looking like Edward Scissorhands in the mirror and that mysterious lady taking the picture.... is it Erin or Adriana?
Also, the wardrobe hanger and the still nature in that frame
It's all so kitsch!Oh, I hadn't noticed Izzy reflected on the mirror.
THAT is the kind of picture I was hoping to see when they announced the books of 'unreleased photos from Axl's personal archive' that was included in the Loaded box. How cool would it be if it had been done properly?
The Axl & Erin picture was probably taken from the website of John A. Mozzer, a photographer. His website reads: 'welcome to my wild times during the 1980's-90's'. He has thousands of pictures there so no surprise that it might have taken time to someone spot it.

The guy Axl was close to, had this... claws? well, whatever it's on his hands.
Case closed?

So in November 89, were they already married? So he already lovingly threatened Erin to kill himself if she wouldn’t marry him? Way to go for a proposal...
No, they were not married. They married in 1990.
BTW, nice picture. They both look great.

Beta wished happy birthday to Axl ‘my boss, my friend, my son’
Who believes in this? The man is 57 y.o., Beta is, what, 65? I completely understand that she’s his assistent, close friend, one of the longest relationships in his life bla bla bl but all this mother-son BS is creepy and opportunistic to me.

I haven't really been following this thread and I guess this has been talked to death already, but what do you think Axl meant by this:
"The person I wrote that song for said "thank you for the gift of your soul". Well, it took a while but I got that fucker back." [Copenhagen, Denmark, June 27, 2017]
He said it after performing TIL. What do you think Axl meant by getting Stephanie back? Surely they're not back together, but they're on good terms again I guess?
I never heard about this quote. Does it exist any video of it?
Wouldn’t he be refering, in his Axl’s way of talking, that he’s gotten his ‘soul’ back?

I have been wondering if Sasha is in a romantic relationship with this girl called Laura Bardiger.
Apart from many pictures they have together at different events in the UK, she is also a bit of a constant in Sasha’s IG posts. In one of the last ones, Sasha posted a picture of the two and included hashtag and emojis that leave room for this interpretation and I have a vague memory of a IG stories in which Sasha wrote ‘wifey’ or something like that over their picture. Does anyone remember this?!?
Of course, it can definitely just be a friendship...
Yet, it’d be nice to see that Sasha moved on from Axl because I hated the impression that she was still hanging on to him on his own terms.

omg! what's happening to his face???
To be fair, allegedly, he went through many plastic surgeries to reconstruct his face after his years as a professional boxer.
He left his acting career in the 90’s to become a professional boxer for some years and ended up with a ‘mashed face’.
There was an interview in which he says that he ended up with a bad plastic surgeon and that, in the attempt of reconstructing it, the guy changed his facial features.
Don’t know if it’s true or if it’s all the truth.

I hate Nandos’ captions: ‘My people’. It shouldn’t be like that bc It’s his mother and his EMPLOYER.
Then, to be fair, nothing that Nando does go very well with me.

Thank you @GingerHair for your input on that show!!
I have not been following this last leg so I have no idea how these shows have been. I'm glad you got to see them in such a different place, that's always a plus to the whole thing, makes it more exciting!
As for Axl, I'm glad he kept it all through the internal Mic and didnt make the audience part of his stage rants... I've grown tired of men throwing tantrums and acting like tough shit so I'm not fond of those things and dont miss it at all.... so good to know that, while it seems he's still bothered by little things, he can keep a certain level of coolness and dont get so riled up during a show..... I suppose that kind of shit doesnt do him any good either!! Getting upset it increases your chances of heart attack, lol
I don't find tantrums charming or anything and, actually, I cannot tolerate tantrums from anyone above 10 y.o.
It's just that, in the case of Axl, his looks are so different, his voice is not the same, he isn't late for show, he doesn't even cancel shows even he's ill !!! So, at least, when he throws a tantrum, I feel like I can roll my eyes and say: ' ok, that's Axl'.
But I completely agree with you that it isn't good for him and neither for the energy of the people working both on and off stage. I remember thinking at some point of the concert in Malaysia: can not he just let it go?

Thanks for the video. I hadn't seen it before and it has a similar vibe of his rant in Donnington around 2006. As weird as it is, I enjoy those demonstrations that Axl isn't completely domesticated, that there's still some sparkle, some rebellion, some unreasonable behavior on him. Not like I have real appreciation for those behaviours but in the sense that it brings me familiarity and helps me to connect how he presents himself now with how he used to come across in the 80's and 90's.
I went to the concert in Malaysia about 2 weeks ago and what struck me the most was how Axl complained with staff almost the entire show (no idea why). It was funny to see, although surely not fun to who was on the other side of the line.
There it goes a bit of my experience about the concert, althought somehow I have this concert in a haze :
Firstly, it was a bit unusual because only the travellers arrived early; the locals very slowly started showing up about 4 hs before the concert. After the doors opened and everyone had chosen their spots at rail, there were still some room at front row to squeeze more people, if they bothered to push for it (which they didn't). I am not complaining at all because it was very comfortable but I wasn't expecting that. About 1h before the start, there was pretty much only the front row in the pit. When the concert started, the pit was filled but not packed. I believe that one of the reasons was that the price for the ticket was the same of Europe, which might be heavy for Malaysian standards (just my assumption here). The venue was amazing, it was really like Disneyland.
It had rained and when the band entered the stage, Axl started angrily giving instructing to cover the stage with carpets as to avoid them to slip on the wet floor. Axl has this little control table that he switches the microphone to the public or to the band. So he goes to the back of the stage and, during the instrumental parts of ISE, he kept shouting instructions thought the mic, pointing directions, staff rushing around the stage, like 5-6 people finishing the set up while the band was already playing. Those big carpets were very logical considering the rain and I don't know why it had not been done before.
Still, something was not up to his standard and Axl kept ranting into his mic for the first 2 hours of the show. At some points, he also complained to Duff and Slash, as a way to share his frustration. I never figured out what was the problem(s). However, to the crowd, he was smiley, waving, acknowledging some fans he's used to see in the pit, etc. He seemed to be in a good mood and in a good state of mind.
Axl's voice was good, he put a good show. I had past-trauma with TIL and Nightrain but this time was decent. He had some problems in parts, especially with Coma and Civil War, but I can live with it. Slash mesmerises me with his playing but, as usual, he kept very much to himself. Duff and Fortus are officially the public relations on stage! Actually, I'm growing fond of Fortus because I like his playing and he's so passionate with his guitar and so friendly with the crowd.
I met this nice fan in the queue who had flown from Europe to attend 3 concerts in Asia and, by chance, she met Duff when he was sightseeing in Kuala Lumpur. He was really nice: he autographed her arm (and she had it tattooed) and stopped to have a small talk with her. He recognised her from seeing her at rail in previous concerts, he asked and she told about her trips following the Guns's shows. He said something on the line that he was surprised by fans doing this sort of things and that himself he couldn't do it. During the concert in Malaysia, he acknowledging her and saw that she had tattooed his autography. I found it all very sweet.

Sometime ago, I was just too curious if Axl had any relatives (niece or nephew) to heritage his wealth - or if it risked to go all to TB ) so I did a bit of search on his siblings.
As far as it's public, Stuart lives with a girlfriend / wife, a bunch of dogs / cats, no kids. He seems to have a very working class lifestyle - just to say that doesn't seem like he's living out of Axl's.
I knew Amy had been married because there are photos of the couple with Axl but seems it's no more the case, and no kids.
I think neither of them live in California and, apparently, they have no relation to GNR nowadays.

I cant believe Frank is still in this band. He drains all energy from the songs. Thinking of his tone and style I can't imagine him sounding good in any band actually.
4tus is good. I can live with a useless blue haired headbanging chick but Frank is unavoidably bad on every track.
Cannot agree more. At least he's consistent: he fucks up any song, from any album.
Fortus is OK and, many people tried to explain to me but seems like I will never REALLY understand what Melissa does.

I can't understand why people here get so riled up for some anonymous Twitter comments....
Not that they are the official voice of everybody who attended. Although, probably many feel down because attending a show, paying tickets and all that jazz requires some effort.
Ive not seen one second of this show but I wonder if the audience was fully aware of Axl being sick? Does everybody understand English over there?
And I agree with the poster who said this probably could have been handled better, with a shorter setlist comprised of just the hits, no solo BS and an effective encore. Management fail.
Those few tweets of anger really pisses me off but they are a tiny minority. I will not hang on my mood on a few idiots even because what I see is that the massive majority of people are showing concern or expressing props to Axl.
But Management should have taken in consideration that there was a possibility that the man was not going to manage finishing his set. That is the work of management: 'Hope for the best, Prepare for the worst'. Or even, they could have thought that regardless of how much better he was because of the meds, it was better for his wellbeing to do a short setlist anyway. Had they front packed with the hits, no covers, fewer solos and surely that F1 audience would be happy enough and, probably, not even notice. Having said that, big props to Axl for doing the show and I can imagine the what he had to pull up to go on stage.

How much did it cost the tickets? I saw tickets at 1000 - 2000 $, but most of the tickets were sold out so I guess they were cheaper?

I like the lyrics and the solo of NR, but it's a bit too grandiose. Those are not big hits but I will skip Civil War and Coma and, even live, they make me disconnect. Just too long.

I dont know how he could ever get into movie soundtracks..... Those projects have DEADLINES and you have to work hard to deliver.
There's no room for much tinkering, perfectionism, bullshitting around....... And he's mentioned this shit for so long, like 10 years ago and now he talks he'd like to do that "in the future"----
Future when, Axl? When you are 70 years old?
Every time I hear Axl saying he'd like to do movie soundtracks I disregard it completely because which movie director would be so crazy as to invite Axl for doing its movie track? Movie directors have already a lot of egos to juggle with movie stars, etc, they probably don't need a drama queen with serious deadline issues doing the soundtrack.
As for the new album, if anything ever happens, I'd hope it's completely new music and not leftovers from CD. However, if Slash and Duff are giving freedom to rework it, who knows and it could become interesting...

I bet they are pricey as well. They look full leather and probably really expensive shoes/loafers whatever you want to call them because of the leather. I can imagine him shuffling around the hotel lobby and between band rooms with them on. One sock up one sock down.😖
They can be expensive, they can be full leather, they might even be branded but to me they are still slippers.
There must have been some relaxation on the 'rule' of never publishing a photo where Axl can be spotted, outside of stage photos...There has been too many on the last days
You know you're a die hard fan...
