His wardrobe has always been an issue, even in the old days. That's gonna be the hardest part. He wore make up during the glam days. Izzy also did it. Imagine that

Before we get rid of TB. We need to find a replacement first.

But that was the 80's. Is is not the fashion decade to be forgotten? . Fine, I can live with his wardrobe choices if he agrees with the Izzy/Frank/new album/voice/TB stuff.

Bring your friend here. I wanna talk to her. See, I need tickets for all the ladies from this thread. We're going to the shows in Europe. We need to make changes in the set list. We need to talk to Axl about Izzy. We need to tell Axl that Frank sucks, discuss a new album, Erin and the ISE video. We will make sure he takes care of his voice. We're gonna burn all his horrible hats and shirts.

Somebody has to do thiese things

We need to talk to him about team Brazil. We need to find a cure to his fixation with snakeskin booties. We need to ditch all eyeliners and suggest hair treatments. We need to talk about his love life.

I can make the ultimate sacrifice to be part of this supporting team.

This technology has not arrived to the Third World yet :smiley-confused2:

I thought it was toothpaste!

hahaha. It has different sizes, but I ordered the 500ml. When it's closed, it fits on the back pocket of the jeans but opened it looks a bit like this:

    New-Outdoor-Activities-Portable-Plastic-

I don't think AliExpress cares if the order comes from 1st or 5th World.  And you could become a trendsetter :shades:

I payed U$ 3 for 2 bottles but there are even more premium version.

They just played SOYL and it sounded great! :headbang:

I'm really happy for them yet I can't help but feeling a bit sad after the Berlin show. :( At least I still have one more chance...

Which other concert are you going to? I'm looking into going to another one in July, if I can align sun, moon and earth. :shrugs:

I've tried out a solution to this last year and it worked. When they asked us to remove the caps and throw them away, I did as they pleased but they did not know I had some caps in my purse taken from home. Away from the guards I put them back on and had enough drink to sip from throughout the etire show.

In Berlin, they wouldn't give the bottle, only glasses. I had to hold a bloody glass of water for bloody 7 hours.

So, I just ordered a foldable camping bottle that attaches to the belt, similar to this. I'm pretty sure I can sneak this in my bag.

Didnt saw the pic was already posted, i was thinking of the pic people are discussing on twitter, which is much worse, could be an old pic or just a bad pic. The pic with Duff he looks fine, just terrible hair style and shades.

    Oh, man, that's bad.

I didn't follow the DV allegations, I barely know anything about it. But, regardless, I just hope you're right and it's just a plain weight loss.

  6. Oh, you all stop being so sweet.

I know you the sound issue was already discussed but I wanted to add a pinch of salt: I met someone from Berlin at a GNR gathering and she told me that she had been to numerous concerts from other bands in another venue in Berlin (sorry, I don't know the name), which is a venue that fits around 40,000 people and has a very good acoustic and that she had never been to Olympiastadion because it is famous for the bad acoustic but she'd go because it was GNR and she hoped it'd be ok bla bla bla. She mentioned that even the Rolling Stones played on this other venue and that their tickets sold out in 3 min so they opened another night for sale.

I met another fan on my way to the airport (who actually was the one who broke the news to me about the sound problem) who told me about the bad reviews on the German press and that he people started leaving the stadium before the end of the show because, on the back seats, not only they couldn't hear the lyrics, they even had a hard time to figure out which song it was (that is f'ing bad!!).

If other big bands and even Rolling Stones play on a smaller venue (and it isn't by lack of demand if tickets sold out in 3min!), maybe it's because they prefer to play 2 nights in a smaller setting but with a better experience to fans than fill up a huge stadium and then having people unsatisfied. And it isn't like GNR is bigger than RS. Actually, they were still selling ticket at ticket corner on the day of the concert (I asked) and 1h before the concert, I started getting anxious because the seats were still more than half empty but, actually, it eventually filled up to a decent level by the time the concert began.

Or, of course, as you have already discussed, they could do what any decent artist would and invest on having a good acoustic.

It is fun if you go with friends and 'protected'.

I am scared of the soccer matchs here, they are not children or female friendly :smiley-confused2:

This is why ignorance is a bless. When you are not aware of the risks, you just enjoy positives of the experience.

My friends did mention that it was dangerous and that the area around the stadium wasn't very good but, personally, I didn't feel in danger.

Apart from the text, how can you see it's fake? If i go to fernandos Twitter it looks the same with name and everything.

Sorry i am not very good with twitter.

The username is different. Fernando's username is @ Flebeis and this fake profile is @ justpat...

It's just someone who is put the same display name and icon of Fernando so, at first glance, it looks like him buy looking at the username you realise it isn't.

I hate when people do this :bitchfight:

Omg in La Bombonera?? :o that's tough!!!
How did you end up there?

I was with Argentinean friends who were club members (or something like this) of Boca Junior and they had seats on a reserved area. It was so amazing that I got much more interested on the supporters, La 12, than on the match.

I think they had a song saying 'La Bombonera trembles' and it really did! I LOVED.

LOOOL @GingerHair you were there and liked it? I should absolutely go to GnR with you then. Hahaha :)

Hahaha! I have been in the middle of a riot in a concert and didn't even lose my spot. I am sure the crowd in Berlin will be much more well-behaved.

    YOU are not helping :max:

Also I don’t have anyone to go with me. ... So the lonely lunatic in the back on the cheap seats with her „Where the fuck is Izzy? Split the goddam loot equally, fuckers!“ would be me. :P

If you change your mind and decide to go, I will be there and can help carrying the banner (if I am not too busy making a fool of myself in case Axl makes something too cute).

I wonder how you'd feel if you come to see a GN'R show in Argentina? :P

During my Buenos Aires shows, I talked to so many people and had so many laughs!

Watching a big show in Argentina is my dream!! I once watched a match of Boca Junior in La Bombonera and it was an experience to not forget! I have seen some videos of concerts in Argentina and I don't think the crowd can be beaten. When it starts WTTJ, it's mind-blowing!

I always found UTLH a funny song. I always took it as a joke. :shrugs:

What I don't understand, is how some of you absolutely love the 'new' ISE video, while having a problem with misogynistic lyrics. Even if Erin is okay with this (I assume she is), it's not exactly empowering to women, is it?

As to if they've evolved since then... CD is an Axl album, I don't think there's a lot of misogyny in those lyrics, as far as I recall, so I guess Axl has evolved. Slash's albums don't count, as he doesn't write lyrics. His social media point at his taste being somewhat peculiar, but that's a matter of taste, I suppose, and doesn't mean that he's misogynistic.

I like the melody of ISE but I don't like the lyrics so I end up not listening to it. As for the video, I was excited because it was something new the band released and I liked the adrenaline of it, the accelerated vibe. Will I watch it often or will I become a fan of ISE? I don't think so.

CD doesn't give to me a lot of insight about Axl's point of view on the standard GNR themes so I cannot tell how much it changed over the years. But I still see more signs of them pointing on the direction of the macho-alfa-rockstar than the opposite.

Not a mean thought, I too hope she gets something financially from her inclusion in the new box set.

So many women over the years gave of their time to Guns: the stripper girls and other girlfriends in the early days in LA gave their time, money, accommodation, food, clothes, money (sometimes stolen from their purses); girls who danced at their early shows; Adrienne Smith apparently got a bottle of vodka for being on 'Rocket Queen'; Vicky Hamilton never got her due payment for her time and work, and having her apartment trashed ... and probably countless more we don't know about. I adore Guns but I do think this side of things is a blot in their history.

That is such old story in all business, isn't it? Women supporting men in the beginning of their career and then being left behind for someone more glamorous, younger, more 'presentable' or whatever and without having their contributions even recognized.:max:

    1 hour ago, killuridols said:

Haha. Fuck him and the Corvettes.

What sucks the most about Guns misogyny is that I'd like to know where they are at with that now but there's no new music to find out!

I wish that their material could have evolved from that place and have confirmation for this, but their decision to remain stuck in the past makes it difficult.

Tbh, I don't listen to GN'R that much, I rarely play a song and when I do, they are the non-mysoginist ones.

I'd also like to know where their heads are on those subjects now but, a part from not releasing new music, they don't do a lot of interviews and, when they do, the interviewers never ask really tough question (except the overtalked addition stuff). So we might never know.

A rapper in my country said recently that he doesn't perform some of his songs from the 80's because they have misogynist or homophobic lyrics and he grew out of it. This doesn't seem to apply to GNR.

Just some years ago, Duff was asked  by BBC Hardtalk about the misogyny on the lyrics of ISE and I don't think he even understand what the problem is.

That or some good vocals. My interest on this leg will be largely dependant on how he sounds come the first show. Not getting my hopes up though

Pleeeease, don't voice my fears!! I will be on that first show!!

He was touring with a voice coach and if, as rumours go, he was rehearsing with AC/DC then I hope he kept working on his voice during the tour break.

So, I am preparing for the worst but hoping for the best.

  14. It's a mean thought but I'd like to know if Erin gets any royalties out of it.

One thing is to be just an artists' muse. Another one is to have your image sold on a $1000-box and on a video that is also being sold.

No idea what was the legal agreement at time (specially considering she was Axl's GF) but I think it'd be ethical if she's involved on the decisions of it.

Steven and Izzy are a different bag because all those actions promote AFD so they get royalties anyway.

Ohhh. Im in! lol.... she's adorable and hyper. Reminds me of Axl (not the adorable part, though )

Yeah, she probably could feel my stalking vibe.  Weird.

Most of time I think Vanessa seems very miserable though! Maybe she doesn't enjoy so much having to take care of Mr. Rose's hats.
