Have all the leaks from last year end up getting wiped from online? Tried catch up on a few but had no luck

Huh. You are a "new" fan, but joined 8 months ago, with 360 Posts already, but have not managed to listen to 6 albums, which are all just a click away?
Not everyone listens to new artists/music the same way. Got into them back in 2016 and listened to Appetite alone for the first three months I'd say and then ventured out from there. Didn't listen to CD for 1/2 years after I'd already considered GNR my favorite artist.
Doing the same thing with Marilyn Manson atm actually, really got into them and been listening since March but still haven't listen to at least 4/5 of the albums(although a bit different situation when he actually consistently releases music, and I've read that those albums aren't great).

The clip I heard from that soundcheck sure didn't seem like anything to get excited about. Maybe if Axl didn't sound like crap...
The chorus is where it's kicks in I think, definitely could be a pretty great GNR song with Slash/Duff input. Also, trying say a song as bad off a 15 seconds soundbite from a rehearsal doesn't make much sense when the full song is available and most who've heard it agree it's a pretty great song.

Yeah, camera work is great, and this is sounding good!
Slither was nice. RQ was right on par with NITL standards (some strong and some weak moments), same as YCBM. I'm really digging this! Sure, there are better Axl performances from 2016, but I think we will get to that eventually.
Camera work was done by Download Festival for TV as opposed to GNR's organisation, afaik. Probably explains why it's so high quality.

They really just said “what songs does Axl butcher the most often” and put those all in one video
Probably not the worst idea to get all the worst songs out of the way early

I really dont want to be mean but I dont know what this thread is about, who cares about age....as I said earlier she is a fabulous musician, looks really edgy and, I think anyway, fits the GnR of today.
I don't think most are necessarily disagreeing with that, heard some work she did for a video game in 2015 and was floored by it so I'm very happy she's in the band(didn't make the connection that it was her till a few years later).
But I definitely see why people are curious or find it strange that she may have potentially lied about her age. Not that I necessarily care about her age, just find it a little strange that she may have lied about it and in turn may have lied about the whole "next Taylor Swift" thing.

So she's actually Class of 2001 then?
If that's the case she must have lied about people planning on her being the next Taylor Swift so. She would've been 25 I think by the time Taylor would've been starting it out. Good article and was an interesting read, but all the (potential) lies seem a bit unnecessary.
She looks amazing for 38 if that is the case though

*Id be fairly surprised if the journalist and editors at a quality publication like RS would be so early duped on such basic info, so mystery solved as far as Im concerned. Shes 30 until the RS issues a correction.
Also mentions she wants to be they planned her to be next Taylor Swift which would make no sense at all if that link was accurate.

Why would he need Fernando to tweet for him? Is he that dependent?
I don't think Fernando does his tweets for him, it's a bit far fetched

Ive always thought its fernando just typing in a abbreviated way what axl is saying........like shorthand typing.
just checked there out of curiosity, 277/280 characters. Not sure why doesn't do two-part tweets, would make it a bit clearer to read

Axl can barely put a sentence together...
Why can't he just type normally and use some grammar. His a smart guy.
Always presumed it was to condense whatever he's saying to fit into a tweet

yeah and it's being emphasized with the long shot, still pretty cool

did anyone notice that there arent any axl closeups?
Seen a good few Axl close ups at this stage. Not sure why they are using the longshot as often as they are though. Still pretty cool

I find it so strange that a forum mostly filled with middle-aged men(I assume) get so fixated on the looks of a 60 year old guy. It's like, of all the things potentially wrong with the band, Axl haircut was what made your decision not to go? Seriously?
And even weirder, it's just a normal haircut, that plenty of men of all ages have. Not sure why people see it as an issue.
It's not like they're the Pussycat Dolls or something. How they look really shouldn't affect whether you want to go to the show or not.

One single track a week is all they're planning to do. What a waste.
Did he specify for how long? Cause I'd be pretty happy with that if it's a long term thing

I never once suggested that drinking bleach couldn't kill someone. I'm just refuting the claim that President Trump told people to drink bleach. 3-4 replied saying that he did but not were unable to offer proof. Perhaps those are the trolls...
Well it is on video, so that's proof enough I'd imagine.

President Trump: drink water, it's good for you!
People like you: not-my-president is telling people to drown themselves!!!
That insult doesn't really work as well when drinking bleach can genuinely kill you.

You haven't looked at the comments section on the facebook post then?
Haven't seen myself, but what sort of backlash? People criticizing the anti-trump messages or people criticizing the general tastelessness?

Yeah, generally anything that gets pointed out anywhere but GN'R social media gets taken down immediately due to the trolls with nothing better to do.
Yeah, I wish people would stop posting things tbh. I feel a bit selfish cause I've found some pretty cool audio shows on YT and just can't tell anyone out of fear of them being pulled. But it's much better for the community to not say anything and hope people find it on their own. I managed to find the full Toyko 2009 show on YT with the badass Nightrain, thought I hit the gold mine. A week later someone posted it on the subreddit and it was gone within the hour. Haven't been able to get it again since.

Her career is literally just getting started. So only time will tell. I think it's a bit unfair to say who will or won't be played in a couple decades based on your apparent bias.
I know your not talking literally when you say her career is just getting started, but it's crazy to think she's been in the industry almost 5 years now. Some of her EPs from back when shes was like 15/16 and even younger amazing. So many good songs for someone so young.

Honestly think 99% of the hate she gets is older people trying to hate on what youth are doing and people trying to be edgy saying she's the worst thing to happen music. Maybe I'm even a bit older then her target audience. Just look at r/unpopularopinion on reddit, where there's thousands of posts saying how much Billie apparently sucks.
In reality, I think most would agree her first album was a fantastic debut and has a very unique musical style in comparison to other mainstream pop artists, and she has some amazing songs in her EP's(haven't listened to all of them but thought Ocean Eyes was beautiful). The brother is also a great song writer in terms of pop, and I'm fairly excited to see where they go from here.
Saw her live at ACL for a few mins actually. Didn't have much interest in watching the full show but still love her music.

Reading these forums as much as I have been the last few months, seems to be a pretty common thought process - not held by all btw- that all hardcore GNR fans should be on this forum and that the opinion of fans on this form is somehow more in important than any other GNR community(not necessarily intended in a malicious way or anything, just seems to be a prevalent thought process). I don't know if you've looked at the reddit community but it's a very committed fan base and has been fairly critical of Fernando whenever he does post. The thread on GNR releasing a kids books was brutal as he said, and he's continued to engage with them after that. I don't post there myself, but nothing casual at all about that community. Same with the Discord, although I wouldn't have time for it myself due to the endless and fairly malicious fat jokes.
Not sure why he doesn't post here specifically, but he's definitely engaging with hardcore fans.

It just pisses me off that in the middle of this people want to make it political and point fingers for political blame with the liberal media leading the way.
Kind of like Trump and the right media are doing to Obama? Who hasn't been in office for 3 years and has nothing to do with the current situation.

Again, I am referring to him blaming the government for the 70,000 Deaths. China is the one responsible for all the death in the WORLD. Liberals would rather give them a pass and put all the blame on Trump so they can win the election.
Each individual government is very much responsible for how the virus is handled within their own country. The virus may have started in China, but China is not responsible for the downplaying and dismissal of the danger of the virus by Trump, his administration, and the right wing media.
Every government is responsible for how the virus is handled in its own country. So no, its not China's fault that America has 1 million more cases than any other country in the world. It's very much Trump's and the GOP's fault. And it will also be their fault when this gets worse, considering their support for protestors and their support to reopen the country.
It genuinely baffles me how people can fall for this idea that America's terrible response to the problem can be blamed on China. Seems like it can be blamed on anything but Trump and his administration(btw, what terrible leadership of Obama to not have testing kits for a virus that didn't even exist at the time. How terrible of him to only leave Trump with three years to prepare for something like this. He should've prepared for the fact that Trump would cut funding to the pandemic response team. Damn lefties). I don't even consider myself left or right, but Trump(along with the GOP, and other left politicians) is responsible for this in America. We knew about this virus in January, and nothing was done about it in America till the end of March.
