this station should be playin irs at 2 am, if anyone is interested from this area. ill listin even though i have officially heard irs enough times to the point that i stopped keeping count at 50. (and that was this morning)

well, i only repeated what the station said. but consider this, they played it on this station a few times already, and now they arnt allowed to because it will become offical...i belive it

ok, just got off the phone with a friend of mine who called and requested IRS from rocket 101 and 103.1 the fox(im near buffalo ny). rocket 101 will play it again, but considering they just played it, they said to wait a while...

so ill be up at 2am when my friend requests it.

anyway, we tried to get 103.1 to play it, but they refused, saying that they cant play it again till they get the offical IRS single in march. he said that they had it listed, that they would be getting it sometime in march.

hmmmm, i have to belive this, even though part of me wants to deny it. its probably not worth asking merck about, as we will probably have the answer in a matter of days.

im not scared to get it. whats axl/merck gonna do? send beta to kick my ass?

just a side not, a friend of mine just called saying that IRS was just played on our local radio station....how can this weekend get any better. to hell with the trunk show, this song is now on many radio stations. the funny thing is my station is supposed to keep playin it.

another thought, maybe this will convince axl to allow a downloadable single. he is already getting great publicity and radio airtime.

its hard to describe, but you will understand eventually. its like playing a solo, everyone told me that to play it right, you have to feel it, and they were not kidding.

there is a lesson there that breaks the song down slowly. it should help a little with timing.

i find the scom solo to be pretty easy. go to www.freelicks.net they have a scom lesson that is the only reason i can play it correctly.

metallica have a couple of good tracks, but comparing them to gnr? youve got to be really fucking high to even consider that metallica is worthy of comparison.

right now im using earnie ball regular slinkys (classic rock). these are good, but they need replacing now.

can anybody find anything like this for more solos and riffs. im still not that good, but these videos are helping me.
