Yep. after the bridge where he sings "Well your breakin down my back, been rackin out my brain..."  his voice started to give out, and it was almost like he was half singing while gargling water for the rest of the song.

I looked into what a "voice lift" is. It seems there are some famous singers who got vocal surgeries (Aerosmith for example).

I just don't think Axl would risk doing something that could potentially change his voice when there is still money to be made by touring.

Agreed. Many people have mentioned in the past that Axl has been sighted at rehearsals where the band plays a new song (eg. Black Hole Sun, I feel Good, Slither, etc).

I'm probably looking into it too much, but there might be a chance something different will be played next show.

I am taking a very wild guess here and saying that everyone involved with this particular show is fine with the situation. I imagine that the only thing to stop tomrrow's performance is the Mexican government.
