GITR has the coolest intro and it rocks. Not sure how that counts for nothing even if someone doesn't like the lyrics. I don't have to relate to all the lyrics of songs I listen to. Sometimes I just want something that rocks and GITR is a badass rocker.
THIS! Don't understand why Get In The Ring seems to be one of the most hated songs around these parts. Musically I think it's great

Looking at the fact the Stones just announced a huge European tour for this summer, I'd say talk of any sweeping cancellations in Europe right now are a bit wide of the mark

I wouldn't mind a re-record of the song Chinese Democracy, maybe as a b-side or bonus track, but none need doing. I'd rather hear new/unreleased stuff at this point

Accidentally voted for my favourite this time 🤦♂️ Dammit! Can't see it having a bearing on the result though 🤷♂️

Unpopular opinion but it's the current lineup for me. Good mix of classic and 'new', and handles the entire catalogue well. Plus, I enjoy the sound 🤷♂️
I've liked every lineup for their own reasons, but I'm definitely a fan of what we have now.

As a solo artist wouldn't he be ineligible in the performer category until 2035 anyway, 25 years after his (first) solo release?
All of his other projects have been full bands or collaborations/guest appearances with others

Why would he not just say "we've got some songs, and we're releasing one soon". Instead of that, he actually specified further that a 2nd one will be coming after the first one he mentioned. That's so weird and unusual to specify like that. I think they got 2 more songs ready to go and are work in progress on more.
He did say that. He also said there was another coming soon after – he's given you more than what you're asking for! I don't see the issue.
If two are coming out in quick succession like Absurd and Hard Skool, with the rest coming further down the line, why not acknowledge that?
I think too much is being read into a throwaway comment to be honest

Just now, Pele said:You're gonna be bitterly disappointed then.
There's a lot more to be "bitterly disappointed" about than a band 'only' releasing two more songs in the next year or two, jeez 😂
They said Slash would never return, he did. Everything since then has been a bonus in my eyes.
Anyone who's a GN'R fan and has genuine, solid expectations is a fool. The mystery is part of the game at this point 🤷♂️

He mentions two being released "at some point soon" but also says "some songs". Some usually means more than two...
I take that to mean there's two in the can ready to go, and more they'll be retooling in a similar fashion to Absurd and Hard Skool at some point down the line.
I don't for a second think there's only two, full stop, and I think that quote alludes to that as well.

It's understandable if you don't care or notice stuff like that but it doesn't make it invalid or a non issue. Many people care about the sound quality of the music they are listening to, and Absurd and Hard Skool and the new Slash stuff sound like absolute garbage in that regard. I wouldn't describe it as over analysing. You really just need to listen to it to hear how it sounds.

That's all good and well that these types of things don't bother you. If you can crank it up and not worry about it, I guess you're lucky, in a sense.
That doesn't dismiss or negate the fact that these things exist. Music recording is part science and part art, and there are definitely a million small choices made that can affect the end result.
It's not that I don't notice or care – I do – but my god it gets done to death, over and over again. To the point where it's even getting done for things that don't even exist. The music is the art, it's made to be enjoyed or rejected for what it is as a finished piece.
Critique, analyse, whatever, I'm not against that idea, I just think sometimes it gets overdone, that's all -

I’m the only one but I think HS sounds great. The mix is loud and clear; I can hear every instrument clearly
Agreed, I like it! I wish the backing vocals were a bit louder, but that's it. I like it.
I do dispair at the over-analysing that goes into every single beat around here sometimes. It's music, just turn it up and enjoy it for what it is! 🙄

Just had an email to say my 4 delivery is delayed 😭 I'm away most of next week too so I might be waiting a while to get my hard copy 😔

Turns out Todd is on vocals for Always On The Run, which I didn't expect!
He also sung Nightrain in Seattle last night, which is unusual. Saw a clip of that on Instagram, sounds good. Nice to see Duff get up and jam on that too

I like this setlist
Same. Nice to see some rarities chucked in too.
I just wish Call of the Wild was still there. I know Living The Dream isn't the most loved record around here, but that song always does it for me, especially live.
The great thing about an SMKC tour is they intentionally play every song off the album at some point during the tour, so we know this'll evolve and change over the next year.

I hope Always On The Run is still in the set by the time they reach the UK!

You can't live stream something that already happened. How does that make sense?
That's basically what television is 🤷♂️
I suppose dropping the word 'live' calling it a 'stream' or 'debut' would be somewhat fairer though

Any interesting questions/info? I suppose not.
Only really stuff we've heard before.
The only real standout 'new' bit of info is that SMKC will be touring 'the rest of the world' in early 2023, which was a given anyway

There's a rule to not ask Slash about GNR on interviews during SMKC Tour/Time.
You say that, but virtually every Slash interview on SMKC time has returned a GN'R soundbite of some sort, so we'll probably get something, even if it's nothing of substance

Yep, now that My World is gone, I'll be voting for this until it goes too.
The most pointless song the band has ever put out (although still not as bad as My World).
