  1. So it starts in 30 min? Johnny Marr is playing a second song with The Pretenders, am I up to speed then?
  2. Fuck... can watch it on my iphone... bit canät get away to cast it to my chromecast... hmmm
  3. Always cool when fans can watch a live streamed performance in unison (and not a bad facebook stream etc). Excellent Saturday.
  4. Seemed to get it work (on my phone)... hmm... now figure out how to mirror it to my TV...
  5. Enjoy how people are painting this show up to be like some Rocky VS Apollo Creed event. With GnR as some underdog, after doing their highly successful reunion-tour for 7 years, Don't remember people being this worried for Noel Gallagher last year or a new band like Wet Leg. But for Guns N Roses this is the one defining moment of their career. Hehe.
  6. Do the bands have a say in what songs BBC puts up on music? Or is it all decided by BBC?
  7. Could be they needed a studio in Norway, they asked the dude who was mixing them live at the festival because he would know people with studios, and he said "I know a guy with a studio, I can take you there tomorrow. Exciting you have a new single, your voice sounds great on it Axl. Don't be late like in the old days"
  8. Could it be listening to something pre-recorded that will play during a "new" song? Like strings or backing vocals or something to that affect? That's why the live mixer is with them.
  9. What about in the car Or out on a lake with the sound blasting from your barn "He said, 'Get into the rowboat,'" Nash explained on NPR's Fresh Air in 2013. "I said, 'Get into the rowboat?' He said, 'Yeah, we’re going to go out into the middle of the lake.'" The two row out on the lake, with Nash assuming Young brought a cassette player and headphones with him. "Oh, no," said Nash on NPR. "He has his entire house as the left speaker and his entire barn as the right speaker. And I heard 'Harvest' coming out of these two incredibly large loud speakers louder than hell. It was unbelievable. Elliot Mazer, who produced Neil, produced 'Harvest,' came down to the shore of the lake and he shouted out to Neil, 'How was that, Neil?'" The best part is Young's apparent response to the situation. As Nash explained, "I swear to God, Neil Young shouted back, 'More barn!'"
  10. Well, with Beady Eye Liam refused to play Oasis songs (until that band started crashing) and tried to establish a whole new band. Now he's going on to Fuckin' in the Bushes in his parka and it's all about giving the people the Oasis that they want. Respect Noel for doing his thing. The Who Build the Moon album was great and different (the stuff before that great too). I really enjoyed the Liam gig in 2020, for the Oasis-obvious reasons. And some of his singles have been cool, but most of them written by outside writers. We'll just see how long left until the reunion. Liam says he's good friends with the Universe and the Universe will make Noel call and it will be all on Liams terms.
