I wonder who comes up with the idea of a setlist with so many covers? If you analise it, it's like:
- AFD: 8
- Lies: 2
- UYI: 9
- CD: 4
- Singles: 3
- VR: 1
- Covers: 4
But two of these UYI songs are covers so technically it's 6 covers in a single setlist. That's a damn lot. And considering Slither is, technically, a cover too, that'd be 7. Almost the same number of songs as the AFD songs they play.
Born under a bad sign, machine gun, Beatles cover, mannish boy... All the little jams are covers as well.

Which other rock band plays 3h+ shows?
Damn, these 60yr old guys giving their fans all their guts.
I know some bands play like 1h30, 1h45 - if Guns did this, I would feel like being robbed and hit in the face at the same time
True but they are around some of the most expensive

Chorzow was 3hr 35 minutes, I remember timing it.
This looked like 3.25.
I'd take tonights setlist over chorzow

Another Back in Black clip. No rasp at all. It's the perfect example of how much his voice has deteriorated since 2016.
Sounds like two different singers if you compare it to an Axl/DC version.
Hell, even his guest appearances with Billy Joel in 2017 are miles ahead of this.
We all know it takes axl a good bunch of shows to warm up these days!

No Shadow, Coma and Better so far.
Shadow and coma were first to go over the last few years but better is a surprising drop (if it isn't played)

Will it be a shorter show considering they came on 9.30?

@Axl_morris£90 is still high end on what i would call reasonably priced. The most i've paid is £80 and that was for the final Black Sabbath show.
It's London and that's standard price for stadium acts. Black Sabbath today would be £100. However GNR play for an hour longer than black Sabbath

I'm really torn. I've seen GnR 10 times since 2006. so many incarnations. (2010 was by far the best). The tickets are so expensive. I saw them twice in 2017 and once in 2018. My plan was to go get tickets on the day for Tottenham Hotspur Stadium july 2nd. I just don't know. It's not that i think this is a bad setlist, if anything it's quite good for a career spanning live show. But id be paying £170 (plus travel, plus food plus drinks) to basically see the 2 new songs, reckless life and a new acdc cover. People claiming you're crazy as 'New' they've played it loads, just the Lies version, it's hardly this awesome new track.
It is a cash grab nostalgia band. there's nothing necessarily wrong with it, i just think the band and the fanbase struggle to accept or admit it. No Pyro, no massive fireworks or confetti, no attractive opener (gary clark jr is ok, but it's not shifting any extra tix is it, how about liam gallagher, smashing pumpkins, body count, billy idol, some of their 70s/80s punk idols etc)
I like watching Kiss, for the show and visual aspect as much as the music. take that away you're seeing the same songs for 20+ years. GnR is that but without any crowd interaction, any cool stories, any visual aspects and any pyro. £170? I don't think I can do it.
You don't need to go gold circle. Normal standing is around £100 and seats as low as £90

So naturally, they add songs in as the tour grows. I'd expect those songs to be
Whitchita
Seeker
Don't cry
Madagascar
Unlikely but possible
Locomotive
There was a time

Pretty solid for a first show and a good 3 hours.
For us die hards i'd still want to hear at least one of the following deepcuts, especially in Europe..
There was a time
Prostitute
Locomotive
Then it will be a truly special show. Also, Don't Cry should be played every night.

Journalists medical experts now? All he said was he was having vocal issues on top of technical difficulties.
