Is anyone planning on authoring a DVD out of this show?
Dumb question, I know...

I'm glad you guys liked my pictures! It was my pleasure to do the updates on twitter!
I would have loved to jump up and down and scream the whole set, but after 8 hours standing on the front row with no food, just 4 cups of water plus more 7 hours in line waiting to get inside the venue, it was near impossible for me to go as crazy as I'd love to! So I enjoyed the show with my camera in one hand and my phone on the other! hehehe
Here's a video of Sweet Child recorded by a good friend of mine (Annette) with my camera:
I hope you like it!

At 38 seconds: that's me, almost screaming because the girl, whose the secutiry gave my R$1,000 camera to, almost dropped it on the floor!

Hi, all! I'm the person who recorded this show. I'm glad you're all enjoying the videos!
It's great but half of it is eco from the venue.
Yes, the echo from the venue has a lot to do with this effect. But...
Great video and obviously the camera is picking up more of the echo than the actual band. I'm sure it wasn't exactly like that if you were there in person.
Perhaps, but what you're listening on these videos is not AT ALL what the camera picked up. On the original audio the echo is a lot bigger, on these videos I managed to tune it as down as I could, without damaging the music. And it's not something that you could pick up (the echo) only through the camera. In person it was THAT loud too. Totally insane. Plus you were able to listen to the band clearly too, at least where I was standing.
What I'm trying to say is: yes, the camera picked up a little bit more of the echo than the actual band, because it's not a pro camera (it's a Lumix ZS3), but you can't say that all that crowd noise is only because of the echo/camera, the crowd there was THAT loud! Amazing!

Does Axl say "I think we've got it?" afterwards?
Think he said "Hope you got it"
edit: okay, haha. Everyone hear different things.
He just says "Obrigado", which means "Thank You", in english...

Just an "update" about the petition:
I sent an e-mail to one of the people who has something to do with the festival(i got the e-mail at their website) and told them about the petition, and I got a reply:
Rafael
thanks for your email and initiative.
I'll foward this to the festival's organnization.
Take care,
Rock in Rio Lisboa team.
Any chance we can get it on US tv? I'll sign in a bit..Well, I know that in the US there's also the SIC International channel, and they will probably broadcast it to USA!!

BIG NEWS??
in 2006
Is this Brian May dude good?
Nah he's kinda average...
yeah...bohemian rhapsody, tie your mother down,we will rock you,and bicycle race all were average with average melodies and AVERAGE solos.....
Brian May average...that's funny!!!!

They are doing a full broadcast on AOL?? Why do they need to put it on TV when everyone can watch it on their computers. Go to music.aol.com on May 27, and everyonce can watch the GNR preformance. No need to get it on TV.
Here in Brazil a lot of people still uses Dial-up connection to go on Internet because they can't affort a broad-band connection...acctually, A LOT of people here doesn't have a computer! But EVERYONE here has a television! A lot of people may not have cable tv, but surely knows someone who might have!
So, TV is the better choice since watch it on the internet or download it later aren't choices that would work for everyone!
1851 signatures...AND COUTING!!
Let's keep it off tv, just to screw the brazillians over. :xmasssanta:
I hope you're joking!
I mean, I don't need that petition because I have cable tv and broadband internet connection, I can see the show online or at SIC international, but a lot of fans can't so, I think it's more than fair to think about how those fans will see this show that was supposed to be done here!!

Online petitions never work.
It worked last year when the Brazilian fans of Pearl Jam did it to try to bring them to Brazil for the first time ever...and they were listened: Pearl Jam came to brazil and did a bunch of sold-out shows and the people who brought them filled their asses with money!
hey.. i was there!!!
So you know what I'm talking about! These petitions CAN go somewhere!!

i am 234% sure that it will be aired. GUNS N ROSES is paying in it... look at the huge fuzz is going on.. do you think they will miss it. They will hv a huge audience broadcasting it...
Yeah, but the brazilian media won't give a fuck to any band that doesn't pay a good chash for it!
I know that because I was working on Sebastian Bach(Ex-Skid Row) brazilian tour '05...and I was encharge to book interviews too, and MTV wanted us to PAY for an interview...I'm ok of pay for Advertasing, but pay for interview is something I just can't understand!!!
This month we had a Free Rolling Stones concert at Copacabana Beach and, two or three days later, we had 2 u2's concerts at a Stadium in São Paulo...that was all that the media was talking about!!!!!!! But why?!? The guy who brought them to Brazil is someone who has a lot os cash and paid a huge money for that fuzz on the media!!
I know that Stones and U2 are 516516511561651 times bigger then Sebastian Bach, but Lenny Kravitz came to Brazil last year to do a gig as big as the Rolling Stones one at the same beach and a lot of people didn't know that he was gonna come! Why? The guy who brought him didn't paid for this!

Well, I created that petition! LoL!
Thanks for posting it here and I hope we all can make it!!!
I got a phone number which I can talk with someone encharge on that TV Channel, I'm gonna try to call to them later...
There was recently something about it being broadcast worldwide.Yeah, but the problem is:
Here in Brazil the biggest tv channel, rede globo, has the rights to broadcast it. And this tv channel has another tv channel at Cable tv, called Multishow.
Rede Globo won't broadcast the shows because they are gonna be on at the same time as their soap-operas! And they won't broadcast rock in rio instead of those soap-operas...but they can broadcast it at multishow, as they did in 2001, but DIDN'T at 2004, that's why I created that petition!
Anyway, I hope we all can make it works!! Let's all sign that, even if you are not brazilian!!!

Just my opinion about those who said that the songs sounds like Hip-Hop and linkin' park: you're crazy!!!
It's not hip-hop or linkin' park at all! It's NINE INCH NAILS! And a little bit of Kraftwerk as well...
If you have any doubt about the influence of NIN's music, listen to this:
no thanks
All right, keep fooling yourself thinking it sounds like Linkin' Park and Hip-Hop!
