  1. Actually not many people are getting hysterical about this.

The most annoying people are the die hard Axl-ites who defend his bahaviour and actually believe the shi$e put out in the press releases.

Truth is Axl is still not someone who likes to reward the fans or who cares about them losing out and being disappointed. He's let the side down yet again and there is no need for it.

Not the end of the world, but another annoying 'Axl moment' for us all to use to take our minds off the fact that the album is no nearer being relesed.

  2. Calm down people. Right now this is just a rumour and if it is true the gig has been cancelled we shouldn´t judge nor blame anybody yet. Remember in GNRland people tend to twist things so, chill out and let´s see what happens.

People have every right to be pissed off NR. There had better be a good reason for this one - hopefully something better than "Axl wasn't allowed to bring alcohol on stage".

Thats the thing. People have saved money and made sacrifices in their personal lives to get to this show, to display their support for the band. If they have cancelled for anything other than a blindingly obviously important reason (Bereavement, serious illness, connecting flight cancelled etc) then it sucks.

Doing a TV show isn't an excuse either as they planned this schedule themselves, it's not as if they had to play Maine tonight, they did that off their own backs.

I'll wait before I hang Axl, but if management try to create some PR bull$hit excuse it won't wash with most people.

But as mentioned by the people above who aren't slobbering Axl infatuists it's the people who have taken time off work, given up seeing their friends and family, bought plane/trane/bus tickets and given their hard earned money up that I feel sorry for.

  4. To be fair to Del James he didn't call any of them names. He just said that GNR was Axl's vision and to be fair it always was.

Izzy was a massive part of it, but didn't want it to take off, he wanted it small time in the clubs.

You can clearly see that Axl was the largest single part of the collective whole by what they did when they left. Slash and Duff both went to do their own thing and they were all poor, they then joined up for VR, and thats average, despite some stellar band members.

  5. As Del says log off the internet and reconnect with the real world.

You are overanalyzing things again. He played on them doesn't mean he recorded on them for the album, it means they played them, probably for airing in the shows once things gear up.

ok, maybe I am, I just got a little excited, that's all..

and what do you mean by saying "You are overanalyzing things again"?

I don't use to do that

I don't mean you doing it again. I mean 'a fan' doing it again, as Del mentions in his piece.

  6. Mysteron wouldn't tell you what they don't want you to know.

Remember that Merck told us all that Buckethead hadn't quit, but he had.

I would agree with posters above who see this as nothing more than an excuse to delay the album some more. Brain was never really in the clique from what I can gather, brought it by Buckethead in the beginning remember.

  7. American's are intelligent enough to operate the complex scientific instruments required to properly bootleg a show.

Check out the Euro Tour DVD (The 7gb one), thats the best stuff you are ever going to get from a crowd recording.

  8. I´m sure at all it´s not the studio version, if you compare the better version of the ad with any GNR released track you can see it´s not a final product, i really hope a more produced song, you can´t be working in a song (album) during 13 years and put that demo song as a final product. The studio song will be more produced, more complex. If that is the final version i´ll be dissapointed.

To be fair that is streaming through a website. Low quality is the buzzword, plus you have all the hiss, breathing , baaing and foot stomping of the sheep, plus the motorcycles.

  9. They have probably more prejudice than any other band in the world.

Firstly there are the emo kids, pop kids and one band wonder fans who will obviously bash them.

Then they have the people who will criticise Axl for being a has been.

And to round it off they have the people who used to like the old band. Those people who have not caught up with the new band are likely to go 'WTF? That's not Slash' and thats a lot of people, millions in fact.

I am sure the band will do okay and will attract new fans with the album. But world domination on the scale of the UYI era isn't possible anymore.

  10. Rules...

    10) This is a GNR FAN Forum, members should keep this in mind when posting. Do not bash GNR, VR, MEMBERS, EX-MEMBERS, or their MANAGEMENT

DAILY bitching about Axl and Management is bashing.

He is breaking rules DAILY, So please.... Why is he still here? at the very least he should not be allowed to post in this section.

To be fair to Kaneda he probably could do a better job at managing the band. The word incompetence doesn't begin to say it.

  11. There is clearly going to be a second leg as the official press release said the current shows are "The 1st leg of the North American tour".

Relax. If you are worried about travelling to see GNR, move to a smaller country.

  12. Even if a video is released to MTV for play, it won't get much. You know, throwaway shows like "Next" are more important than music to MTV

Shut up. MTV has about 8 channels. Only the main MTV has the non-music shows. The others specialise in individual styles of music. In the UK for example there are 8 MTV channels and about 35 music channels overall.
