I Will Dare - The Replacements is the one that immediately springs to mind as I was just listening to it.
-
sssshhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Don't call them the next big thing!
It's the kiss of death!
I agree.
Plus "The Next Big Thing" is the name of the next band I'm forming.
-
Isn't Keith Richard s the lead guitarist?
Nope.
I don't want to disrespect either Brian or Ronnie, but Mick has always been my favourite.
I'd love if the Stones would have him for a guest slot on their next tour.

What was that thing 'This Town Aint Big Enough For The Both Of Us' that Justin did with that band...I cant remember the name it was something silly like 'British Whale', the video was JH and Phil Taylor playing darts.
Yeah, it was a Sparks cover.
I honestly don't really miss The Darkness. Although "Get Your Hands Off My Woman Motherfucker" was a good ditty. As was their cover of Street Spirit.

The ruiner of all things good.

Sounds interesting...
Now I just got to convince some suckah to drive.

Since Richie went walkabouts for me anyways i think they lost a certain something..
I know they went on to be very successful but they lacked that raw edge they had with Richie's contributions.
I totally agree.
I don't know about Richey. I'd like to think he's still alive and happy.

I prefer Fun House although I think Raw Power is a better introduction to the band and would be the better choice if I was to throw something on at a party.
-
I'd listen to Paul Rodgers over Freddie anyday.
Mind you, I didn't really like that C-lebrety song or that Say It's Not True song or whatever it was.
-
I never got into Wednesday 13 or the Murder Dolls. I always saw them as a poor man's Misfits.
-
Always wanted to see 'em live - do they still tour?
Their bassist is dead, so I guess not.
Didn't Mr Tommy Stinson replace him for a couple of shows a year or two ago?
-
I have mixed opinions.
There are some songs which I think are great and very well done.
But there are other times where I just want to yell "stop whining" and strangle Conor's scrawny neck.

Don't the Jonas brothers rock?
A song told me so?
-
First they came for the emos...
Then they took away my Def Leppard albums! OMG!
-
I presume that Unforgiven three is referring to the trio of Hetfield, Hammett and Ulrich and the fact they haven't been forgiven for their last album.
-
I'm not a big fan of ska punk, I much prefer the older 2 tone stuff like the Specials and the Beat.
Sublime were a good band though. Definately a "summer" band.
The King Blues are an amazing band. You might call them ska punk I guess? I don't know.

At face value its sort of amusing.
Underneath it though, it's a pretty nasty piece of legislation. It shouldn't just be "emos" protesting that, but anyone with a concern for freedom of expression. It makes Tipper Gore and her merry band of tupperware tyrants look pretty sweet right now.

Bitches Brew is perhaps one of the best albums ever made, but I don't think the best place to start is an album that is so experimental and unique. That's at least my experiences from that sort of albums.
I agree.
Kind of Blue is probably the best starting point.

im not narrow minded i just think music isnt as good as it used to be
I generally just recommend putting your faith in your local music scene rather than the radio. Check out the nearest city.
-
Sorry to hear you got dumped.
Surely you'd just put "The Way I Feel" by Rancid on repeat?
-
That's nice. Now people wanting a full Jane's Addiction reunion won't have be clutching at Strays.
-
I thought St. Anger was fuckin raw man...I really don't have a beef with it.
..except for the snare drum **tink..tink..tink..tink**
Haha! I always thought he swapped his snare for one of these:
Best Scottish Band

Out of those, I'd say Belle and Sebastian but you should have put down Jesus and Mary Chain.
