  1. So I dunno what people are going on about on this forum, but when I saw a NITL show over in California when they came around a couple years ago I distinctly remember people in the audience asking about the other members of GNR and I’ve definitely heard casual fans comment about how it’s not a true reunion cause it’s not the original five up there. My uncle talks about it all the time as he’s a huge rock fan and they’ve talked about it several times on my local classic rock radio station 107.7 the bone. So it’s definitely out there that people want the original guys and not just half of them, I’ve heard tons of jokes about it being only half of GNR so hopefully maybe the band itself has heard these things and considered reuniting fully. Sure it’s a big deal that Slash and Axl are back together but I bet that’s finally starting to wear off and people aren’t going to be so inclined to spend so much money on seeing just half a reunion. I mean shit look at how many people paid good money to see Motley Crue’s last couple of tours even though Vince Neil sounds worse than axl by a mile. People are just hungry for a good rock band and there’s not much out there.

  2. Well I just have those a listen, and I was not impressed. They're just worst versions of what we already have. Man that OMG is the freakin same except for one part as far as I can tell. And that new solo is absolute trash, sounds like bumblefoot when he starts noodling on his fret less guitar and it sounds like obnoxious bubbles or something. I hate his weird solos and def prefer bucket heads any day. I guess silkworms is interesting to hear but it's still not a very good song tbh. I wish they had leaked something half decent. Damnit

There's very little nu metal on CD. Shackler's is the only one with Korn element. Scraped is more RATM/Evil Empire. Better has a whiff of NIN but doubt many could pick it out of a line up. None of the production team are nu metal, I'd say it's way more Alt rock than nu metal.

    What's up with the mountains?

    That's Yosemite I believe lol

The guys who produced UYI and VRs first album did a great job. Slash production value is good enough as well. Simply no Axl experiments. But without Adler, Izzy, Gilby and Matt it won't have the unique GnR sound. So what.

The Guy who slash works with is Elvis Baskette. He's done most of slashs recent solo work. He also works with alter bridge falling in reverse, and tremonti, who is Eddie van halens sons band, among many other rock bands. Elvis' albums have really great sounding bass and incredible drums. I'd love to get him to work with guns n roses. While most of his wrk is digital, He also records sometimes using analog equipment, which is so rare to find nowadays.

He is saying that saying stuff like Steven cant play is utter bollocks. People ASSUME this, there is no basis for it! Steven "is ruined". What..HOW? Steven NEVER failed to play well or failed a tour apart from things unrelated to drugs such as breaking his arm, even during the heroin days of the AFD tour and the drinking binge during the loaded 2011 opening tour he played very well, what the hell is there to say he can't do it? He NEVER could not play at a show, always did his part, no matter what. That rumour is just plain dumb and has no basis to even exist.

Now he is sober, plays great as always, even rehearsed himself to play not only UYI but also CD songs, and he played a longer GNR set than Guns did in Argentina (!) with a tribute band, over 3 hours, including stuff he never got to play from UYI. And there's still people doubting, because "drugs". Yeah no. He sure as fuck can do it, there is no bigger motivation in this world for him to do a whole tour than playing with these guys, no amount of free pussy or booze would be better for him than having this gig back. He wants, is able to, and should be there.

And Izzy can't just "bail". Everyone playing in this big a tour is legally bound in a contract to play until it expires. All the issues he had with the original band in 1991 like Axls random outbursts are gone now. The only issue now is the cash being made.

This is the best post I've seen posted here in a long time. I totally agree and see no reason why Steven couldn't play except for maybe axl and his bullshit.

and Peter Criss is KISS, Michael Anthony is Van Halen, Steve Vai is Whitesnake, Richie Kotzen is Mr. Big AND Poison, Bill Ward is Black Sabbath, Dave Sabo is Bon Jovi...

Whoa whoa the huge difference between izzy and Peter cross and those others you listed are that izzy actually wrote shit tons of material. He was instrumental in developing not only the sound of the band at the beginning but also the look and style as well. Without izzy there is no gone. Remember, Alan Niven always believed that izzy was the leader of the band, that he was the major force behind it. Peter criss can, well, suck my dick for all I care.

Okay, so now it's confirmed that a reunion was in the works already before DJ quit the band. I knew it, even though some insiders tried to claim otherwise. :D Damn, I've been right about pretty much everything considering this reunion.

I was right there with you too thinking and saying that exact same thing. Just had that reunion feeling going, and my old posts prove it too. But holy smokes I have no doubt slash and duff would have definitely denied any chance of ashba swag being involved in this reunion.

I didn't notice the tempo at all when I was at the show, but when I listened back to my recording I was like "Damn, that's fast" on more than a few songs. When I clicked on PC from Coachella, I was stunned at how fast Slash was playing the intro. Overall, I don't mind the uptempo feel, but I can see how people are bothered by it.

This has nothing to do with Frank. He's playing to the click track that is set to exactly the tempo that GN'R wants to do these songs.

When did I say anything about click tracks or tempos being solely on frank? But I garauntee people will notice a definite difference in overall song performance and tempo with the addition of someone who's natural groove fits what he's playing and not trying to replicate something.

Things couldn't have went better. They were on a small stage, not a lot of room to move around. You know, Slash has a PACEMAKER in his chest and he's 50. I think He's doing just fine.

He had the pacemaker taken out it was just in there to keep a regular rhythm and to make sure it didn't stop completely. Once slashs heart got healthier the docs took it out. It's been out for a while
