My suggestion is
DON'T DO IT.
Be creative, get something else done. There are great tattoo artists, and I'm sure they would be able to come up with something cool, original and different than some fucking "logo."
Find a good tattoo artists, one you can chat with for a bit and tell him what your idea is... a tattoo related to GNR, maybe you have ideas of what you want it to have, some references to drugs, whores, roses, guns, etc... and let him come up with a good design of his own that won't be the same shit we've all seen and that a million other people have had tattooed.
Yeah I agree whole heartedly with this post please don't just go with some lame GNR logo or over fanatical gnr thing like the cross it's just pretty lame honestly

GN'R died the day Izzy left in 1991. They still soldiered on as a mildly entertaining caricature of themselves until 1993 but really it was over the day Stradlin left as he provided all of the songwriting and integrity. Axl and Slash, left to their own devices, are just two jumped up 'rock stars', reenacting the same pathetic relationships as Jagger/Richards and Tyler/Perry. We have seen it all before - there is nothing new there. The fact that the old band ended their reign with a tragic and wholly unlistenable collection of covers, a gaggle of solo projects and a lawsuit tells you all you need to know. Axl's new band is a travesty.
This is pretty close to how I felt about it back then.
And as far as the OP's question, yeah that's what I'd consider a waste and embarrassment of the guns n roses name to accomplish so little and instead just tarnish the fuck outta the name and image. Such a joke nowadAys

That dude acts like that was all cool n funny but that's just fucked up n weird. Never liked faith no more personally but my brother loves them

I think it's to let him meet as many fans as possible. I feel the same way about pics in general, but can you imagine if all those people waiting after a show wanted pics? I'm sure many would be fumbling with their cameras, too. He doesn't have all the time in the world after a show. They need to get going to the next location.I've been reading from fans on here that Slash(recently)comes out and signs autographs after shows but will not take pics. That's strange because alot of these "fans" are ebayers and will sell his autograph but it's not like you could sell a picture of yourself with Slash. Maybe he's so rich that he doesn't care what someone does with his autograph after he signs it? Either way I'd rather have a picture with him than an autograph from him.
To the point about the ebayers, at the Hampton Beach show last month, he stopped signing early because people were jumping back into line to get another autograph.
That's along the lines of what he told a crowd of us when asked about it after a 2010 solo show in Reno, Nevada. Basically he said it would take too long to take pics with everyone and that he could give more fans signatures quicker than if he only took pics with a few of the fans leaving a ton without anything

Yeah gave drift a chance and to say I'm not a fan is a gross understatement

Axl and Slash do look concerned.Mwahahaha

For the love of God, any decent guitarist can hear the "woman tone" (as Clapton coined it and Slash used so beautifully).
That tone is the iconic tone on mid tempo GNR solos. And Axl clearly had Robin try to ape it.
This is why you don't see a single Fender guitar onstage with axls hired help. Izzy and slash used Gibson tones to make the GNR sound, and axl kept it going. Which is pathetic, because supposedly he was all about the future or some shit.
izzys used a fender telecaster both in the studio and live especially during the illusion tour.

I honestly don't understand at all the love this song gets from the forum members here, I respect that people can have different opinions and taste, but this song just plain annoys the crap out of me more than any song on cd except for maybe catcher. I mean his voice is just all out Mickey even on the album version. I even saw some of it live and it got worse there lol.

for real?
He's been very gracious and humble in regards to his public comments on past members.Who im I to comment on anyones personal life, I hope they are happy together?
What Ashba could not do in 10 years of his life, buy a house in Vegas, he did that just after doing a leg of the Tour in 2009/2010, Covering parts of other people in a band called Guns N' Roses does gives you a financial security, No hate against him, its good he is loyal to Axl, but he should call up Slash and Fink and thank them too that they made those amazing guitar solo's which he is covering and earning money by it
He brings something to the table. His solo spots are my favorite of all GNR members past or present save for Axl's solo rants.
hmm to cringe or not to cringe.....
To cringe

Is that what people mean when they talk about all the tinkering axl had done to songs to "perfect" them? Bleh

Lets put it his way, if he was around in the 80's looking for a gig on the strip he'd have ended up in the very worst hair metal band going, the kind that GNR despised.
If he had shown up at the riot house Izzy and Axl wold have probably mugged him then beat the shit out of him.

Really like the song, but not a big fan of the lyrics or how duff goes about singing them. Not his usual singing voice a la GNR or loaded

It's such a treat to see dJ revisit the same alleys and haunts where he lived off the street and wrote all those classics with Ron and Richard which ended up as AFD.
Ladies and gentlemen I give you the post of the month.

Has Slash Surpassed His Idol, Joe Perry, in Terms of Guitar Playing?
in GUNS N' ROSES - DISCUSSION & NEWS
Posted · Edited by RockerRoller
I have to just say that without joe perry there would be no slash whatsoever, but as far as both skill and creative output is concerned I have to say that slash has definitely surprassed joe in guitar playing and will undoubtedly have a much longer and respected legacy in the music world. Joe perry is good and laid the foundation that slash built his career upon, but slashs playing is just brilliant and much much more iconic of rock n roll.
