  1. I always thought the Jack Bruce vs. Ginger Baker feud was pretty funny. One time Jack put his bass through Ginger's Bass drum. From what I've heard, Clapton was constantly breaking the two up because they were always fighting.

Yea, that was one of the reasons Cream broke up. I heard Baker even pulled a knife on Bruce once, while they were still the Graham Bond Organization. They seem to get along now.

  2. One TSI is enough.

Still, I'd prefer 10 very good covers as an add on disc to 10 B sides.

I'd doubt that GNR B sides would be very good, rather I'd expect them to be woeful. The amount of labouring CD has taken to get out doesnt inspire me with confidence that the guys have great songs just pouring out.

Whereas a band like Radiohead, even the Bsides are extremely interesting even if not commecialy viable.

I'd rather have it without add on disc then. A band like GNR shouldn't more than one cover album. They've recorded over 20 covers now.

  3. Ronnie James Dio - Nowhere near as good as Axl, but who is?

Actually, a lot of vocalists are better than Axl. Especially Ronnie James Dio. Don't get me wrong, I love Axl and I consider him a great singer but there are definitely some better singers out there.

  4. I won't be able to get Electric Ladyland, only Are You Experienced. Was it really that good?

You should consider getting Rhapsody or a similar legal music service.

I download songs using Bearshare, but I like to buy the albums myself.

Me too, I prefer buying albums but I don't always have the money. I started with Axis and was very pleased but it's the weakest of the three IMO. Though it does have Little Wing, my favourite Hendrix song. I have the other 2 too and Electric Ladyland does seem pretty good but I haven't really listened to it much because it's so long so the only songs I know well are All Along the Watchtower and Voodoo Child. Though those particular songs are worth getting the album for.

  6. We need to stop using "CC" for "Clear Channel." Everytime someone posts something about CC here, I automatically think about CC Deville from Poison.

haha i thought that shit too

For a minute I thought CC was the third guitarist.

  7. Yea I've heard of them, didn't they tour with VR and Van Halen? Anyways, heard 2 songs by them, 1 was good and the other one was ok. Looks like a decent band.

  8. VH were very popular in the US, but not in Europe. Some US bands always had great difficulty in the European market : Motley Crue, Whitesnake, Stone Temple Pilots...

I'm pretty sure Whitesnake was bigger in Europe than they were in the US.

I have 3 Roth albums and there aren't any wussy songs on them. Sure, their sound got a lot softer with Hagar and the party attitude was kinda gone but they were still great, some nice ballads. Too bad Eddie isn't doing a fuckin thing right now.
