Things happen to your body. I get aches in my neck and shoulders, and some times my nipples bleed

Oh no! Chaffing!! I've heard some stories back in the day from people in a runner group I was attending. Getting into the shower after a long race and screaming bloody murder when the water hits the chaffed areas

As for shoes, I run with an Adidas pair. I think in the new year I'll get kitted out with a more specialist pair. When I started running, I was just using a really cheap pair of generic trainers. While I managed to reach 5K in them, getting a proper pair of running trainers made such a difference. Thanks for your advice regarding nutrition and hydration. I think I'll get a little hydration pack for further longer runs.

I'm not sure if I'll have much time to commit to running further than half marathons, so I'm thinking of just running around 10km three times a week next year, and looking at another aspect of my health to improve instead.

There's a magazine called The Runner that has loads of info if you're into it. Plus they do regular running shoe reviews which are pretty informative. I use to buy Brooks brand running shoes from my local running shop and they are pretty pricey. But after awhile I figured I don't really need them since the longest I run is 3 miles at a time -_-

There's a website for the magazine also.

Axl Rose podcast.  hes pretty smart and supposed to be funny, so he could probably give Joe Rogan a run for his money.  the difference is Axl has WAAAAAAAAAY cooler real life stories than Joe does.  And Axl would probably kick some guests asses once they piss him off.  I'd definitely love to hear him interact with other rock legends as well as the diverse backgrounds of Rogans guests.  would be fascinating to me.

YES. I think he has a great talking voice and it would be asmr heaven for alot of people. Plus if that interview back in 2008 (I think it was?) the one with Bach and Ian is any indication, then yeah like you said he's got some great stories to tell us all.

I think he said he would like to do some music for movies.  He could create for video games.  Is he looking for a new job?  I think he's pretty open to being asked to do stuff.  He's got a pretty good build, wild fire fighter would probably interest him.

Like Trent Reznor, do movie soundtracks and music etc? I can see that and am surprised he hasn't done more of that over these years. But, I don't know how well he works with others in the recording room...that could be an issue :shrugs:

Smashed 12K on Wednesday. Looking to do 7K over the weekend. Hoping to find the time to get to 15K next week.

That's great! Do you use a running app of the sort? I've been using the Runkeeper app by Asics for years now and I barely found out it has training programs to help with speed and turnover. Fartleks and progression runs etc. It's helped me stay focused and not get stale with my running. I'm working toward a new PR for my 5k this year and I'm behind!

  5. Well...it happened. Someone living with us got the Rona. Its been a week so far and he hasn't really improved. He sleeps alot and doesn't drink much liquids. The rest of the family got tested and only 2 out of the 4 were positive, although the other two who were negative were already sick with colds, whaddya know?

I'm not stressed,  just awaiting my turn I guess you can say. I'm trying my best to "isolate" but since I've been working from home for months and really don't go out much anyways, I still like to at least go to the living room and be outta my room a bit

Hopefully I'll stay well enough to be the nurse for everyone and hold the line till it blows over. The weather today was bleak, cold and rainy so I managed a quick rush out to get hot soup for everyone during my lunch break.

BTW, what are everyone's opinion on Instacart or any other grocery delivery services?

These are really good! Wow, Im impressed :headbang:The depth and colours look full on pro!

Youve done Bob proud, Im sure. I would have thought they were his originals. Will be cool when you feel like doing more!

Not the whole city on second lockdown, just all the vulnerable/at risk people like myself. But if we say "Quarantine or self-isolation" people tend to think we are infected or have been exposed. So my dr calls it lockdown.

My city is one of the worst in country. And our Province is officially in second wave. The other day we had 89 of the 700 provincial cases. Leaders are warning us that this wave will be worse than the first.

It sucks! First lockdown was months on end and it wasnt even so bad. Everyone was on lock down here and around the world. But now its just so lonely and boring. Everyone else is busy living their lives.

Need to figure out my project but nothing is appealing. Browsing your paintings was nice though, thanks!!

Thanks! B-) Painting is the easy part, but uploading the pictures, cropping, writing out a description and adjusting the lighting in the pictures is the worst!!!

Here in Texas there was talk of having restaurants be at 75% capacity, but I haven't followed up with when or if its still in the talks. I recently went out for drinks and got outdoor seating so it was good and the humidity and heat have finally subsided. The only irk is alot of places that were 24 hours have still not gone back to those hours.

The cases are still around but the deaths are not high which for me is a good thing and she be focused on more. You're in England right?

I imagine those laundry folks have come across some unspeakable things!

I love that he was a drill sergeant! And the hair?! Very cool. This is promising news for those of us with our pandemic hairdos lol

I love a walk at night, hadnt taken one for a while until the pandemic. Whats your dogs name? I started doing streches at home too and sometimes I wear a posture correcter with all this increased sitting. I think I can relate about your pause in painting. We are in second wave here so Im, personally, back to lockdown. And all the stuff I was busy with and excited about last lockdown is just not as tempting currently. Oh well. When the time is right. The capitalist, consumerist model we live in compels us to always be producing or consuming. But we are allowed to just be, just exist. Just breathe.

Im so lazy that even though Ive recently been inspired to start a new multi media project, I havent done anything resembling work on it yet.

You should do one more season! Id love to take a look at them, whats your handle?

    @steph.med.115  I thinks that's how you type it out....:shrugs:

    Second lockdown?!?!?

Yeah, I just tossed some clothes instead of sending them :lol:. The service I use is kinda neat, its a social enterprise co-op laundry service. People needing job experience for resumes work washing & folding laundry, and doing the pick ups and delivery.

Oh you paint? Cool! I took a try at painting but I couldnt get the hang of it. Bob Ross is pure pandemic goodness. Y'know I swear I just heard someone mention that he used to be a drill seargent in the army?? Or did I dream that? And they claimed thats why he likes to be so quiet now. No idea if true, lol.

Im a homebody too. But gosh, those times out and about really make a world of differnece to me. Just a half hour walk to keep me balanced during lockdown.

What do you like to paint?

That's interesting and would definitely give one job experience and probably some nightmares I'd imagine!

He was a drill sergeant! Although I believe it was Air Force. He was quite the looker back in his days too, a far cry from the afro (which by the way he only did because he was too poor for haircuts. He wanted to get rid of it but by then he was too well known by people because of his fro!)

I go for walks too but its at night. I take (my) dog for 1 mile then circle back drop her off and go for a quick run to help counteract all my sitting. As for painting, I haven't done one since May! I told myself I was going to take a short "break" and yet almost 4 months later....:shrugs:

I had a crazy idea last year to paint ALL of his paintings he did on his show The Joy of Painting. From Season1 episode 1 all the way to the end. I finished season 3 and have all my paintings documented on an Instagram if you wanna take a gander. I get spurts of energy to dive in again but its been laziness holding me back <_<

Since I get to live in a covid "hot spot" I ordered a laundry service. But I was to embarrassed to send of much of my stinking, dirty 'pandemic at home' clothing! :lol:

I'd be embarrassed too! :P Never heard of that service

I got me a new desk for my "office", assembled it happily, rearranged furniture and got my painting supplies in order again -Look out Bob Ross!! :headbang:

I feel im on opposite compared to everyone else in my area - I worked during our shutdown and had a nice time driving to and from work without all the traffic since everyone was stuck at home. Now im at home alot while our state has opened up and everyone is out and about again! but I've been ok since im a homebody anyways :shrugs:

There was a "refund" button to press to our TM account. Shortly after I proceeded with requesting a refunded I had received an automated email indicating that they've received the request, no further action is needed, and it would take up to 30 days. When I log into my account it basically indicates the same. It's on the Canadian side for a postponed show (but I believe the process was the same for the US folks).

I have to wait 45 days. I got my tix through Seat Geek. They tried to bait me with a credit to my account for up $1100 dollars to use towards an upcoming event  I'm flattered but there's really no one I'd like see in concert and having to wait until next year to go to a concert is not worth it for me given the world circumstances

There's so may cool 'high quality' merch they could make as a separate range to go alongside the cheap stuff like trucks and toy yo-yo's.

My idea would be for a 'Not in This Lifetime encyclopedia'

    It'd have

    - A huge section on all the lithographs

    - A section on the design and setup of the stage they used

    - A breakdown of the gear used by all the guys

    etc

That would be cool as a thick glossy picture type book for a coffee table etc. Lots of high def pictures of the guys on stage and the info said about their gear etc.

    I'd buy that

  13. I'd wait at least until the beginning of next year (hoping we make it to then!) I recently got my refund back from the date here in DFW that was cancelled. I bought it a week before our state freaked out and started shutting everything down back in March. And this was gonna be my first time seeing the band live

We will see what the end of this year brings. If not corona then who knows what other events could take its place, seeing as how things have progressed so far. Not to mention the US election coming up which could spur some big, bad events.

But hey, if its all isolated in the states, guess that means you guys overseas will be lucky to get a tour huh?:ph34r:

What a pleasant mistake to receive that package! Must have been fate

Sounds like rally great oil, too! We can only get stuff from this country so I dont know that producer. Sounds like great attention to detail! Im glad you had it to help through the cold.

Yeah, edibles can really do a number on you  Which, if I'm honest, can be incredible as long as you stay positive. I used to only choose to do edibles for a night of dancing or at a festival. That kept me in the right mindset, having fun. Now I like to do it alone at night. Thats what works for me to stay in a good place no matter how intense it gets. In recent months its taken anywhere from 30 mins to 4 hours to kick in. Usually last about 4 hours for me.

Here I can get a 5/5 cbd/thc. Very low dose of each. Sometimes taking a drop here and there throughout the day will eventually amount to a mild and pleasant buzz by the evening. Like maybe 5 drops over the day. But for the most past Im taking 45mg/ml all at once. And you can always take more cbd oil if you get anxious.

Maybe start with a puff off one of those joints? See how that goes first?

Huh, I dont have a bubble hash guy. Do people have bubble hash guys?? I guess Im not cool enough  Ive thought about getting some white shark and making my own bubble hash though.

Yeah, I tried brownies a few times, but Im not that patient in waiting for it to hit. and the last time I had them, they were some strong brownies and of course I ate more than I should have so I was out in space! Like pure thc fairy dust that was separated with a special grinder type stuff

I prefer the old fashioned way of smoking it, but those joints got taken by my hobo brother who no doubt enjoyed them <_< But I'm not into inhaling smoke stuff anymore so to the oil I will stay loyal!

Nice! Yeah cbd oil can do some people a world of good! I sometimes use pure cbd oils to help with sleep or calmness. I also really like to use a balanced oil of 15/15 thc and cbd. Keep things interesting :headbang:

Yeah, I've been a supporter of it but havent tried it untill now, and it was by accident!

My sister got a package wrongly delivered to her place and forgot about it so she decided to open it and found 2 bottles of cbd oil and 2 joints. A company from Por tland called Thought Cloud.

The oil I got is a cold press leaves and stems CBD/CBC/CBG/CBN/CBDV. When i first tried it i was healthy, but last week i contracted a bad cold from my sisters kids and it helped ALOT with the dull headaches and backaches. When i was healthy I felt how it took the edge off my mind so to speak, so i get how people with anxiety like it.

I'd like to maybe up the THC, but its been so long since ive smoked let alone did edibles that im scared of the effect after all these years!:lol:
