  1. I can't even put into words how my love for the show has been in decline for a few years now. Negan showing up definitely helped put a fire back in the show for me but it fizzled kinda quick.

I haven't watched the show in its opening time slot for a long time, just record it and watch it later.

OFF Topic : What moment for you guys did the show officially "jump the shark'?

Dear God that is glorious. So good to see Axl smiling and having a good time as well as the others.

I couldn't stop laughing when he asked "How would you like to be addressed? Dallas?" Something us Arlington dwellers are always hassled about.

Thanks for posting all the awesome videos and pictures guys. I was hoping to make the concert seeing as it's basically in my backyard, but money was tight. But after seeing all this I WILL make it priority next time around!

By flu u mean opiates? I must have some form of KFC induced chicken flu because I just can't get out of bed without puking. Headaches, shivering, sweats. Can't drink water, eat food. I post this from the toilet bowl called committment.

Sounds like mild food poisoning or a virus.

I still feel like I'm being affected by a virus I caught nearly a month ago. If you want a total body cleanse then fetch yourself a virus!!;) It got me on track with eating better and cutting waaaayyy back on all the coffee and sodas I was drinking at the time.

My hunch is that it'll be the other way around, and it'll be in Episode VIII, and then Kylo will be redeemed and help Rey defeat Snoke in IX. That's just my hunch, tho.

Or what if Kylo is kinda playing both sides of the field?

I remember Gen. Hux saying something to Kylo along the lines of "careful you don't let your personal vendettas get in the way of Snokes agenda" or something like that. Kylo wanted the map to Luke real bad not just for the sake of Snoke, but his own purpose.

I at first thought Rey and Kylo were connected somehow but not in a direct brother/sister way. Maybe cousins? :shrugs:

  5. The episode was good. A nice bloody start!:headbang:

The best part is when Sam, his brother and mom get killed. I cannot tell you how happy it made me. All three of them are dead fuckin weight.

I'm betting the next episode will focus most on Rick and Daryl. I recall reading an interview where Norman Reedus said there is a episode where Rick and Daryl have a kind of "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance kid" type episode and it looks to be coming up.

After all that walker killin though, I'd be a bit hesitant to stay in Alexandria with all the corpses still there to dispose of, but it's the only fortress they can afford to keep for now.

He's got more than once voice going on in there. The speaking one, the yellow inner crazy one, and the logical white one.

In the annual issue its revealed that its the character Madcap who is the other voice in Deadpool's head (the white box), while the yellow box, not bubble, is Deadpool's inner thoughts.. I won't spoil it for you, but you can easily find the comic on youtube. It explains how the two characters become one.

I actually liked the movie. Like I said before, I was very hesitant and had my expectations low, but when Christmas time rolled around and the better trailers got released, that's when I got excited. A few things did bug me a bit and there was one scene that was done different from the comic, but overall for a film adaptation it was as close as it could get. I laughed a lot during the movie at his antics and dialog, and there were some golden moments that really reminded me of when I first got into the character in the comics.

Gotta give credit to Ryan and the director, producers ect... It really, genuinely seems like they wanted to whats right by the DP fanbase. I'm glad they did their research.

I'm looking forward to seeing how they'll put Cable in the next movie. The relationship with those two goes back a ways and I know it's gonna make for some great backhanded insults between the two.

  7. So I saw this thing on TV that "Rape by deception" is being recognized more and more in US courts as rape.

    What is it?

Let's say you meet a girl and your parents are on holiday in Europe, so you tell he it's your house, and you are a stock broken or some shit. She likes you and sleeps with you, and later finds out you lied about who you were. She decides that she would never have slept with you if she knew you really worked at Subway and lived in your parents house. Your consensual sex now becomes rape by deception.

I personally think it's complete bullshit, it makes me very angry that it's a thing.

I'd like a female point of view on the matter, maybe I'll view it differently. To me, I'd think a real rape victim might be appalled at the thought that consensual sex with a guy who wasn't worth as much bank as you thought is put on the same level as a stranger forcing himself on me in a dark alley. It would really piss me off.

The concept is absolutely ridiculous. Maybe the women who claim this should think before being a slut. I'm disgusted by the concept. Rape, quite simply, involves being either physically or mentally forced into something you don't want to do the the time of doing it.

To simply regret it afterwards does NOT make it rape. People who think it does are idiots.

The same goes for girls who sleep with someone while being drunk. Maybe you should have had so many drinks, you slut. Taking advantage of a girl who is either passed out or completely out of it seems like rape to me since there simply is no concent in being unconcious. But when you go wild after having a glass to many it's your own fault.

    That's common sense.

Accountability is becoming a lost attribute these days.

Now call me old-fashioned, but maybe it makes sense to take the time to get to know someone really well, before giving them the honour of seeing your vagina.

    Amen sister!

  8. Does it count if it's over social media?

The only two famous people I've met in person are Kat Von D and Vinny Paul :headbang:

Both were fairly quick interactions, the former at a book signing and the latter at a nightclub. Both were nice and courteous and made me feel special

I don't think I'd really want to meet someone I really admire though. I mean, if they were in the same elevator, restaurant, place ect, I'd just stare for a bit then try to dissapear. My biggest fear is meeting someone I admire and end up saying the dumbest shit or stammering like an idiot, when I know I have something interesting to say!

  9. It's actually a legal issue Apollo, nobody in the UK can be forced to work a Sunday, and in my case as I have explained my reasons to my boss and been ignored (as well as her making frankly inappropriate comments about it) it comes under religious discrimination. Also, as I said there are enough of us to cover all the days, there is no reason why she needs to force me specifically into doing it simply because she and other older vets would rather not. Also I have worked Saturday's since I started and there is nothing in my contract about Sunday's- I work a day every 3rd weekend, and I am fine with that for Saturday's but not Sunday's. It's not about me wanting more time off or anything like that

The good news is after I forwarded our email correspondence to our head nurse, she had a meeting with management and they discussed it, and our regional manager has agreed that I will only be doing Sundays temporarily, in a month or so once one of our new vets (who is more experienced than me) is settled in she will move to working Sunday's and I will go back into the Saturday rota :)

    Good to hear girly!

  10. Lol...There's a lot more to it than I thought....memorizing lines, scenes, etc...you actually even have to memorize the other actors' lines as well so that you know when it's your turn to speak...it was a lot of fun.

I've been thinking of trying an acting class, just to try since I've been entertaining the idea for 10 plus years. I just hope I don't end up in a class with a bunch if oddballs who seem to be trying way too hard to be different and artsy. I've had too many art classes and literature classes like that. <_<

I'd be nervous about memorizing lines though. :monkey:

  11. Just as an update it looks like our head nurse is fighting my corner, she says she's not willing to lose me over it so a compromise can be found. I might have to do Sundays temporarily but one of our new starts has no problems working a Sunday so she can do it instead.

To clarify the situation for everyone:

    - I work full-time during the week, I am salaried so it is not about getting more or less hours

    - Weekends are on a rota basis, you do 1 in 3 and it's either a Saturday or Sunday

    - 3 vets work on a Saturday as all practices are open for a short time, 1 vet works on a Sunday as only the main hospital is open

    - I have always been on the Saturday rota but now my boss is trying to force me onto the Sunday rota instead

    - I explained that it is mainly to do with my faith and it being a Sunday, a small part of it is being the only vet working with no backup as a new grad but that is minor in comparison

    - She is trying to ignore it having to do with my religion and say I have to because I now am experienced enough, even though there are way more senior vets on the Saturday rota

EDIT: Dazey, I was hired to do a 4.5 day week and 1 in 3 Saturdays, in one practice. Now she's got me split between practices (one being the furthest away and most run-down) and trying to move me to Sundays, and has put none of this in writing despite me asking for it

Yeah Rocket Queen is an example as to why I don't want to go back to college. Spend all that money on a job you don't even like...

I love being a vet, I just want to make sure I have a decent work-life balance and am not letting my boss treat me like crap because a) that's how you get burnout and b) I trained hard enough to become a professional, I deserve to be treated like one

Yeah your boss is actin' a fool.

It seems you've brought it to her attention more than once yeah? After all that, if she still is trying to push you into doing something that you don't want to do and have already explained to her the reasons for it, then I'd talk with someone above her.

I've gotten a bit of the same treatment before, wanting Sunday off completely because I'd like to keep going to church and not let a job get in the way of that. But there are many people out there who think it's a story or excuse made up to have one solid day off.

Hope it gets ironed out for you though.

  12. Manga artist

I've thought about that too! I taught myself to draw and have kept at it since I was about 11.

Right now I'm trying to get into a program for Physical Therapy Assistant. I just finished my associates degree in May, finished the last prereq I needed for the program and now have to study for an exam in November.

I've been having second thoughts though if this is something I really want to commit to. But I don't know if it's just because I'm being a scared little shit or it's my intuition coming through.

I've been in school for what seems like so long that the thought of having an actual adult job kinda terrifies me. I'm afraid the constant 5 days a week, 9 to 5 routine will eventually kill my soul. :shrugs:

But I'm fuckin' tired of these mediocore jobs with no benefits, shitty pay and dead end descent.

  13. No amount of gun conrtol was going to prevent this. Having said that America's views on guns is incredibly perverse and they do need some sort control. What gets me is after this tragic, disgsuting act took place socal media within minutes was already littered with idiotic assholes who actually believe that had the public been armed this would've been prevented or at the very least less lives would've been lost. I mean tne only way that would be possible is if the public all had their gns drawn, recognized what was happening before it even happened and all opened fire on this piece of trash, killing him while in the process making sure nobody else got shot. I mean you've got to be one dumb mother fucker to think if everyone was packing that this woud've been prevented.

It's gettin' real close for open carry to be legal here in Texas. I'm not sure if there are other states considering it as well.

But yes, that whole mentality of the public being armed to help counter situations like these always seems to boggle my mind.

Not everyone that can buy a gun should buy or own one.

Open carry? Might as well go back to the old west.

Also it was reported that Wal-Mart is suppose to stop selling all it's AR-15's and simliar weapons. They say it's because of lack of sales. :jerkoff:

  14. This makes me really scared of the aftermath that this will bring. The fact that this was planned out to be live and be posted on the internet is the worst part of it. Not to undermine the deaths of the victims.

But other psychos are watching the news and thinking, "That's an idea," and i hope to lord above I'm wrong, but there could be copycats of this.

    But I hope not.

  15. The Men Who Stare at Goats (2009)

Last weekend, for the first time ever; Was alright, made me laugh.

First time I saw that I was high as shit. What i do remember is bits and pieces, the part with the lsd in the eggs and seeing how they tortured one guy with strobe lights and barney singing his I love you song on repeat. Trying to understand all that while feeling like your sinking into the couch is a struggle.

I saw the later half of Girl with a Dragon Tattoo a week or so back. Daniel Craig and his suave ass, but the killer was seriously disturbed.

  16. The scene with the guy in glasses is really unfunny. Cringeworthy actually. Yuck. I guess the movie will be fun. Joking superheroes are not a new thing thanks to the Marvel movies, so this one better have something else. And not just blood.

    Yeah, some of it is....meh.

I love the character of Deadpool, he's the reason I got into comic books. But it's not just zaney, lolrandom craziness, he has a background that's pretty tough too as I'm sure most comic characters have.

I dunno though, I have a problem with Ryan Renolds. He's funny yeah, but in every movie he's the SAME. Although I'm talking about his comedy roles, I haven't seen any serious roles he's done.

I will go see it, but my expectations are kinda low and are staying that way until then.
