Well, I don’t post here very often tbh but I did agree with some of his statements yes 🤣. Trust me, I want to believe there’s this whole stash of unheard music in Axl’s vault but it honestly would not surprise me (at this rate) if it WAS just those few village demos that Axl recorded vocals for! I do hope I’m wrong though and the fact that songs like ‘Scraped’ and ‘Sorry’ exist with vocals and WEREN’T part of the village leaks gives me SOME hope, but honestly, at this pace of 2 songs every 2 years when would we even hear them anyway? 😔

The thing is I think he’s right regarding the 3 songs released so far, the vocals do sound like they’re straight from the village demos, albeit with some effects added added here and there 😬. Also, I see a lot of talk about The General here but as far as I’m aware the only thing that ever leaked was a shitty 10 second cell phone clip that could have been ANYTHING. How are we so sure this is a song that’s finished and due soon? 🤔 Genuine question, not meaning to sound like an ass. Maybe I’m a pessimist but I genuinely think we’ll get Atlas Shrugged and possibly State of Grace, followed by YEARS of no ‘new’ music…

They took the ‘hey heys’ and the scream from the mac daddy part and Frankensteined them into Hard Skool, so I’m pretty sure that part will never be used. I’m guessing Axl said they could use that part for scraps. However the actual main vocal part where Axl sings eye on you, I could actually see them using that for something new, it’s quite catchy!

Don’t they hold onto these ‘new’ songs so they coincide with a tour?? I assumed the only real reason they were releasing these songs at all was to maintain interest from the hardcore fans, whilst they continue to tour their greatest hits. I honestly don’t think Axl has any intention of recording NEW music ever again.

I think I do recall reading or hearing somewhere that Axl let Duff and Slash hear a bunch of unreleased stuff and they chose which ones they wanted to record parts for 🤔. Can anyone else confirm?

I still think it’s crazy that they Frankensteined parts of Eye On You into Hard Skool. Whats next? Some of Axl’s unintelligible ramblings from Quick Song slapped over the solo in Perhaps?

How does everyone feel about all the odd sounding “hey heyyyys” and “ayyyyys” in the demo of ‘Perhaps’? Are you hoping they’ve been removed? I find them a bit jarring myself 😬 Other than that I’ve always quite liked the demo, the chorus in particular is pretty epic. I don’t have much faith in Slash’s soloing these days but in fairness this wasn’t one of Finck’s greatest solos anyway…
