I did a track sorta the same for my bands last album.

Gaga is long from over. She will be around for a long time, get used to it.
-
I doubt it, it's so not like her songs at all. She writes catchy pop songs. ITW isn't.
-
That doesn't mean it isn't boring and/or sucks.
-
Standing around waiting for a band to come on stage fucking blows. Especially when its an hour plus.
-
Well said.

Late starts are unprofessional. That's all there is to it.
Okay. That ought to do it.
Well it is the truth.

I doubt it will be hailed as anything other than another album. Not knocking it, I just don't think it's that important in the grand scheme of things.

"Vintage Items could where on stage"
This does not make sense.

I did read it and it is some what BS! This is about the forth time Duff has said in public or put in print something about his appearance with Axl. And each time he has made a point about not wanting to talk about it. So he continues to do so!
agreed.
He has been asked over and over again about it but has not given any detail into what went on between the two. I think he has been respectful to the fans, the press and to Axl.

Plenty of albums that are just a collection of songs have intros. That said I skip the thing myself.

I don't know about you guys but I get blown away by albums if they sound great and interesting. Chinese Democracy doesn't do that for a long list of reasons. Getting jaded on a forum does nothing to how I hear and experience music. Its a whole different part of my brain im using. It's a different mechanic.
There are a few good moments on Chinese Democracy. A lot of it is still, contrived and silly.
I mean, take the title song, for example. How many intros would you put on a simple rock n roll song like Chinese Democracy? Im counting four to five different buildup intros on it. Completely unnecessary and just makes the whole song embarrassing and silly.
I've always seen it as an intro to the album itself, not so much the one song.

If you take the chorus out of the song I can see that but in context with the rest of the song it's very powerful. I also thought it was funny that in 30 odd years we went from "I want to hold your hand" to "I want to fuck you like an animal" It's basically the same thing.
On topic, after hearing Oh My God in 99 I was expecting something very different from Guns but those thoughts were gone when the first lot of leaks surfaced. CD did about as well as I expected in the end, even if it was the most amazing album in the world it would have been relatively passed over. The music world has moved on.

If the chorus in Closer isn't catchy I don't know what is.

I think we'll see *at least* one more GNR album. Axl himself said he has always saw CD as a double album. And like the band has said on several occasions, they didn't record all those tracks just to not release them. They will come out eventually, hopefully sooner than later!
I'm willing to bet they do a US tour, and then release CD II.
I believe what Axl meant is the CD we have IS a double album. He grew up with vinyl and CD would not fit on one disc.
I don't think he meant that at all. User Your Illusion I and II was a double album, so Axl clearly understands that difference in the two at this stage.
UYI I and II were BOTH double albums. 4 discs of vinyl.
"Axl, do you really have two or three other albums of material? For now, we'll concentrate and keep our focus on this album, but I will say I've always thought of it as a double. And no offense, but no one's trying to talk in parables. The issues are a bit more complex than anyone would like."
You could really take that either way I guess but I am leaning more towards it being a double purely by it's length. CD is a double album when it comes to putting it on vinyl.

I think he uses litigation as an excuse for delays but I can't see him doing things on purpose for it to happen, that's crazy.
-
I can't see a record company releasing another album in a while. It would be a waste of money to them.

To me Breakdown is THE quintessential Axl track.
-
Breakdown has a banjo in it.

Uhhh Sweet Child O' Mine...

Guns N' Roses' best and worst songs
in 2010
Posted
A lot of these worst picks are perplexing but I guess that is the beauty of opinion, no one is right and no one is wrong.
OG Guns:
Best - It's So Easy, Locomotive, Breakdown (too hard to chose)
Worst - My World
New Guns:
Best - Better
Worst - Silkworms, Rihad
Personally I don't think covers should be included.
