  1. I'd like to hear a better recording than that but as it is it sounds pretty bad, Axl is way off in some parts.

Axl sounds really good on that Nice Boys. He needs to get into the studio right now and do vocals.

  2. Obviously, you've never felt the depth of loss he has. If you had, you'd "get it".

    exactly this.

    describes it pretty good.

"When you've loved and lost like Frank has you know what life's about."

Cheesy ass song IMO. I don't quite understand the love for it by many fans but that's cool. I don't hate it nor love it.

  3. On the demo and early live recordings, he pauses. Other than that, you'd have to ask him or see the journals/lyrics he first wrote it out on. Or email Mike Clink.

There might be an alternate take where he sings it. Which leads to this question... how many hours of AFD sessions are out there, and is there a breakdown of what was recorded and when? Would be a good book in itself, a detailed "making of", apart from the stuff we've already read. They could release just studio banter and it would be interesting to listen to just that, and I'm sure a few of us pervs want to hear Axl "directing"

The Doors debut album had 2 moments of censorship, which a few years back was rectified... now we hear "She gets high" when they play "Break on Through", and "The End" brought back the "fks".

If "It's So Easy" was the first single, and I don't remember if it was or wasn't...did they edit it?

Axl didn't write it, Izzy did.

  4. He concludes: "There's no grudge against Guns N' Roses and rather than point the finger elsewhere they'd do better to acknowledge that fans have had enough of being treated so shabbily. I haven't read or heard one good word from anyone else about that show last night - the worst headline performance I have seen in the 11 years that VF has been covering festivals. I was embarassed to be a Guns N' Roses fan and desperately hope they can salvage a trace of their former glory at Leeds."

Yeah right, no grudge. Fucking asshole :rofl-lol:

That isn't the the guy in charge talking..

  5. Axl Rose has no right to be P.O.'d by the promoters.

"I came on late and they did exactly what they warned me they'd do if I came on late."

I'll admit that I'm usually pro-Axl, but I don't see how anyone can side with him on this issue. It really boggles my mind. I usually will defend him through most things, but not this. He's clearly in the wrong, and "going on late is their trademark" makes it all the more pathetic. Because going on late every show every time is totally rawk and roll and not predictable and dickish at this point! :rofl-lol:

    +1

I love Axl but this was one of the dumbest things he has done. I really hope they show up at Leeds. It will suck for people who have made arrangements and payed good money to see them if they don't show.

  6. That is just fucking retarded. Way to fuck the fans over because of your own ego.

    Are you done?

    @djashba:

Seems some of you took my post out of context. I in NO way meant that we went on late because the promoter was being a cocky prick. I simply stated that, then I went on to apologies to the fans for us going on a little late. Peace out.

The promoter was already being a cocky f$#k in the press before we arrived, so yes we went on a little late

Yeah that makes it seem like they did it out of spite to me, if they didn't then why did the band go on an hour late given the situation?

  7. Simple question for you--if you were not there, how do you know what caused the hour delay in between sets. Axl tweeted, and was on-site hours before they took the stage. So how do you know for certain that he, or GNR caused the delay. Possibly, something done by the promoters caused the delay (I believe this is a Live Nation Azoff event), setting up GNR to then go late. I mean, why would the promoter make such a fuss publicly earlier this week? If the band was there way early tonight, including Axl, then one has to wonder if something else caused a delay? I certainly don't know, and I doubt anyone here does. But, without firsthand knowledge of what was going on in between sets, one cannot blame GNR or the promoter--its just unknown. What is known, is GNR and Axl were onsite backstage about four hours before their scheduled stage time. I just wonder if they were set up, and that is why the band is so pissed. It's real easy to paint Axl as a bad guy, and the promoters certainly know that. Funny also, that Gigwise (Azoff owned subsidiary of Live Nation) is the first to report within minutes of the show ending, as if they knew what was going to happen. Who knows, but one has to wonder what really caused the delay....starting to think the band was set-up by Live Nation to fail.

If this post is satire, its a homerun.

    If its serious, however...

Work for a Fortune 500 company, or with Live Nation for a few years, and you will quickly realize nothing will get in their way....for money or what not. Pure speculation, but one has to play Devil's Advocate, and cut through your reeking sanctimonious hog-shit. If the band and Axl were on-site backstage hours before their scheduled time, why was their a delay? You cannot tell me that you were backstage and know why there was a delay? Who knows what happened, but jumping to some conclusion, that is the easiest (Axl's fault), doesn't mean it's the truth. Who knows...maybe something to do with the promoters or a blown soundboard caused a delay, and then they cut the band's set anyways?

Umm Axl and the whole band would be backstage for shows in the 90s and not go on stage for hours after the scheduled time. Them being there doesn't mean shit.

  8. Looks like Axl's the fall guy, once again.

    Story of his life

Even if there is a slight chance tonights events were out of his control ( I doubt it) that statement is hilarious. Dude creates his own problems just like everyone else.

  9. The BBC have a history of fucking up though. They promised footage of Eminem at T in the Park the night he played. Turned out they never had permission to being with.

Took them days to come through with the rights.

Let's hope everythings cool with Axl and management

    On the BBC livestream:

"Due to contractual obligations we cannot bring you Guns N' Roses show tonight".

Guessing that's what's caused the hour delay.

Yeah no, that wouldn't have anything to do with the delay. It's just music licensing bullshit and no doubt Axl didn't let them play it.

  10. This band is not professional, there is no reason for going on late at all. Axl should make the extra effort to be on time for a festival. This is retarded. Anyone who thins it's awesome is an idiot, sorry.
