GET OFF AXLS BACK Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 What DVD program are you using E16 ?, all programs have different features that may be the problem. Its possible the settings on the program need to be changed to look for the actual burner, might be set to another non existent lettered drawer.Right click my computer and select propertiesSelect device managerFind the burning drawer then right click and select propertiesThis will let you check the device status and update the drivers if needed Quote
estranged 16 Posted January 22, 2009 Author Posted January 22, 2009 im not sure what DVD program i have. and i can't find the 'burner' tab in device manager. btw this laptop is from around 2001. idk if that is useful info though Quote
highvoltage Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 There are so many different things this could be, it's difficult to know where to begin. If you put in a DVD (try a movie), does your drive register that it's in there at all? Quote
estranged 16 Posted January 25, 2009 Author Posted January 25, 2009 i just tried it. the movie plays--but only the audio. this is on windows media player Quote
