Just cause they don't sound like the bands mentioned in the song doesn't mean Guns aren't associated with the genre.Glam and hair metal are two different things buddy, and yes, GNR was quite fond of glam rock bands like T. Rex, New York Dolls, Alice Cooper, and Hanoi Rocks.
