Marky
The obvious classics such as Queen & Bowie are always gonna go down in history, but in today's music scene, there are so many great collaborations/side projects. Look at The Last Shaddow Puppets, The Dead Weather, The Raconteurs, Rober Plant & Allison Krauss, Jackson United, etc. What are you favourites, new or old? Especially Madvillain and Zappa/Beefheart. "Willie the Pimp" is my favourite song off of Hot Rats.

LightningBolt
Beck, Borgert & Appice. Only had one album as far as I know, but with arguably the greatest guitarist ever and one of the greatest drummers of all time, it can't be bad. Dunno who Tim Bogert was, though... Does a fine job on the album, that's for sure.
misch
Probably not the best collaboration ever, but I really enjoyed the collaboration of Mike Patton, Aldo Sisillo and Roy Paci (Mondo Cane).

Marky
There are a lot of great collaborations. But the best one is still The Traveling Wilburys Does Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young count too? Also mindblowingly amazing. Deja Vu is an essential piece of music.I agree, two mindblowing groups in terms of all round musicianship: Great melodies, even better vocals/harmonies.I suppose VR would be listed as a collaboration? And this from U2 and BB King: Brilliant stuff. LightningBolt
If the Travelling Wilburys count then does Cream? Depends if you think there's a difference between a supergroup and a collaboration. I don't think there's a difference, personally.
