Nobodys_Fault
The Top 500From 20-1At number 1 sits Outkast's B.O.B, and rightfully so in my opinion.I disagree with some of them (would've put "Hey Ya" higher and "Get Ur Freak On" significantly lower) but overall it's not a bad list. Shuffle
Hey Ya should've been number one. It's useless to argue about lists like this and while I don't agree with many of their choices I'm not gonna complain, except about the Kelly Clarkson song at 21. There's far better mainstream pop-rock singles than that one.
mrandyk
There is nothing I care for on the top 20, I really dont like the music of this decade. I wonder how much of this music will be listened to in 10-20 years.
bt88
Wow. I thought for sure on a Pitchfork list Interpol, Of Montreal or some other stupid hipster band would have taken the top spot
mrandyk
After perusing the site some more, what the hell is this? This is a terrible site. Their best 100 albums of the 80s is also laughable. I saw Sonic Youth and The Pixies about 5 times each in the top 30, I figured to see Appetite for Destruction somewhere above 59th and I also expected at least one band like Metallica, Iron Maiden, ACDC, and Van Halen to show up. Who runs this site? Edited August 21, 2009 by mrandyk

chevelle
It's good to see Idioteque in the top 10. It's probably my favorite Radiohead song.

Estranged Reality
After perusing the site some more, what the hell is this? This is a terrible site. Who runs this site? There's such a huge cultural divide between stereotype "hipsters" and stereotype "rawkers" -- someone should really make a film or TV show out of it. "The Odd Couple for a new generation!" - Armond WhiteOn topic, I thought this list was terrible. Pitchfork just try way too hard. "B.O.B." isn't even Outkast's best song -- the fact that they almost purposely didn't rank "Hey Ya!" above it just speaks to how deliberately contrary they are. Like, um, Armond White. stacks on deck
hey ya > b.o.b., obviously. hey ya > anything, really. can you even hate that song? paper planes should've been #2, too. good list, though. good mix between indie/pop. Nobodys_Fault
Terrible listWhat would your top ten be for the decade then? Not bashing you or anything, just want to see a "non-hipster" opinion.

Dead Flower
Hadn't heard B.O.B before this (presumably because I'm lame). What a fuckin' awesome song.
