A lot. Maybe not as much as the likes of Metallica. But even if people say "it isn't GNR" they still want to see Axl and co belt out some of the golden oldies.

In 2007 Monterrey Mexico, had lunch with the promoter and she said it was one million to book them. FYI promoter was not anyone I knew until the day of the concert. She was a good friend of my friend that went with me to the GNR show. We got great fn free seats!

The Asia shows got them 750,000 u.s per show.

Wow for attendances of 5,000 or so, Axl's got a great manager to pull that off.

First im sure the lowest attendance was in Seoul was 7500, second....they sold out the Tokyo dome didnt they? Also, Axl had no management at the time.

I think it varies depending on location etc, but they probably make as much as anyone else generally. Unless you run into a situation where there aren't enough venues available for all the tours, you're not going to see the sort of competition that is going to make the fees so much different. In a venue, there is a certain amount of maximum money to be made off of the number of seats you can fill, and then all the money that people will spend on extras. So, it doesn't really matter what the act is.

I mean, venues can't sit there, empty. No one makes any money that way. Even if a concert goes on, but doesn't sell half the seats etc, it still a venue filled with a lot of people, buying drinks and food etc, and keeping the staff at work.

So even if a band isn't filling up venues, they still get paid, and the venues still make money generally. GNR typically fill half to 3/4 of the venue or sell out, so they're pretty dependable, as far as getting people to come out and spend money. And they only play arena size at a minimum typically, so that's very respectful. Believe it or not, most well known acts can't do that.

In South America, their price was US$1.600.000 for each concert.

Wow! that's a big amount of money. In five different shows they've earned $8,483,424. They should have cut it down to net profit or even less to declare tax rev lesser.

Plus think about the cost of touring for road crews..entourages ect ect. You generally pay for the crews hotels some meals ect so your not making off like a bandit even if you are getting a million a show. Most bands have two road crews tearing down and setting up each leap frogging from city top city. The cost of a cargo jets(s) and traveling by jet is a an expensive proposition. Here in the states with long distances to cover makes it harder for huge shows to actually pull it off financially.
