Rage Against The Machine concert censored, livestream cut!

So, Rage Against The Machine were headlining the SWU Festival, in São Paulo. SWU means Starts With You, and it's being organized by the Woodstock promoters. And didn't go. Although I wanted to, I'm out of money, since I'm going to too many concerts.

Well, the media is all over the festival, and the biggest channel in South America, Globo, was streaming it live. Globo owns many chanels, dedicated to sports, series, music... and their music chanel, Multishow, was also streaming. It's the same chanel that streamed the Rock In Rio III, as you can see their logo on the GN'R bootleg. Well, everything was going well, until the Rage Against The Machine concert...

That was a fucking epic concert! There was a division between the GENERAL ADMISSION and the Premium Area, and the Festival organizers kept saying "People from the G. Admission, be polite so the bands can give you a good show"... During Killin In The Name, in the "Fuck you I won't do what they tell me!" part, the crowd destroyed the division.

Apparently, in RATM's official site, Zack had encouraged people to do it too, but the fans had the idea first.

And then, they chanted "FUCK YOU" to Globo, Multishow and SWU, that are the both channels streaming it, and the organizers. Fucking epic.

Tom Morello used a cap of the MST, a brazilian group that tries to materialize a agrarian reform in the country.

Then, Globo and Multishow censored the concert and cut the stream.

Epic.

Well, I gotta say... that division between G. Admission/G. Admission PREMIUM is a shitty thing. I don't like, but as it exists, I use. I don't know how it works in other countries, but here in Brazil, it costs the double of the regular General Admission. But most time, the real fans stay on the regular one, and the PREMIUM area is full of playboys bastards that are only there due to some kind of status things, because they have more money and can pay to be there, and because it's a VIP place...

One kid or two might try to get into the VIP section, but if a ton of kids are doing it at once, they're going to take it over. Esp. a large crowd like that. You'd have to put a moat in between and high walls or some shit to stop the influx of kids getting past security.

RATM just want to play to an excited crowd, support whatever cause they're supporting, and cash the checks at the end of the day, and hope no one's leaving in a body bag.

Sounds like the censorship happened because of Tom's hat.. you always have to be mindful when you're in another country, if you support something against the government, they can detain you and hold your bags as long as they want. I'm sure a few bands have caused a few "incidents" that someone at a diplomat had to get his ass off the local escort he's banging from the area, and get the band home safely.
