dalsh327 Posted April 2, 2013 Share Posted April 2, 2013 It's a stripped down sound going on for Prince - breaking out songs like Bambi and revamping Let's Go Crazy into more of a hard rock jam without the cheesy synths- It's a good change. I think the live shows are still going to have a horn section and backup singers, but he has a lot of hard rock stuff in the back catalog, question is which songs he's going to feel up to playing. Thought it was interesting he was doing Time songs at SXSW, kind of making a point that The Time was his baby, not Morris Day's. I think it's a dick move to make them go by a different name, instead of working things out with him and doing some shows together.
