Gun N' Roses
You know the voice he uses in all GnR songs. It sounds scratchy. I feel it contributed to him somewhat losing his voice. Edited June 14, 2013 by Gun N' Roses

Gun N' Roses
rasp?I figured that's what most refer to it as, but I just wasn't really sure what to consider that voice. It's so unique it should have a name of it's own. Edited May 27, 2013 by Gun N' Roses

Bruno P.
It's not unique as many did before him, but it's called drive.

Bruno P.
No problems. I did a google search now because, in portuguese, the name of the technique is indeed called drive, and since the origin of the word is english, I thought it'd mean the same thing, but people keep referring to said voice as grit, rasp and screaming. I'm not so sure anymore.
trqster
Whatever it was called, it's now replaced by an odd sounding falsetto commonly referred to as "Mickey Mouse voice".
