Vincent Vega
What are your opinions of Plant's and Page's collaborations post Led Zeppelin--Mainly Walking Into Clarksdale?
moreblack
For me Walking Into Clarksdale turned out rather dull, other than a song here or there. It almost sounds unfinished.
pepsicoca
weak in comparison of their older stuff

JKKDARK
Page/Coverdale was better
Randy Lahey
People were expecting Zeppelin, but they underestimated how important John Paul Jones was to their sound. Still, I enjoy that album. But JPJ's album was much better. Listen to this.
moreblack
Page/Coverdale was betterHonestly, yes. Page's guitar work was better, he had the best riffs and solos on that album since Outrider. Clarksdale's guitar work didn't come close. And David had that vocal range that Page likes writing for. I can't help but feel that his writing, his riffs and overall playing was left neutered by Plant's vocal approach to the material.
