Gordon Comstock
Marc, did Slash, Duff, Izzy or anyone else from the '80s and '90s line-ups talk to you about how they viewed the new members of the band? Taking away the whole "It's not GNR" thing, was Slash curious to hear what Bucket or Robin was doing with Axl? Or did he listen to some solo Bucket stuff and think "what the hell is this shit?". Do you know what Duffs initial reaction to Tommy was? What did he think about Axl going after another guy with a punk-background? Have any of them talked to you about the current line-up? What were their attitudes before the Rio 2001 show, and after? Also, have you and Slash ever talked about Duff playing with Axl in 2010 and 2011? What was his opinion about that, especially the first time in 2010?Thanks for your time The book's awesome, too
recklessroad
No one cared who was in the band with Axl, they just wanted him to get out a record. Duff thought Tommy was cool. I don't think they took Bucket very serious because of his looks but I told them don't underestimate his playing.
Gordon Comstock
Thanks for answering After the record was out (or after they heard the leaks), did they take Bucket a little more seriously?
T.wa.T
I've read that Slash and Duff both liked CD.
