Apollo
Val, how would your third-cousin on your father's side answer all of your questions?
RandallFlagg
TWAT is like You Can't Always Gimme Shelter. Why wouldn't Chinese Democracy, Street of Dreams, This I Love, IRS and Catcher In The Rye be done by the UYI line up? Obv catcher would have less layers and a couple of noticeable riffs but I reckon their structures would be reasonable for the other guys to concoct with Axl cracking the whip and encouraging them toward his vision. And TWAT but I reckon the solo wouldn't be that long, maybe another interlude and an ending solo, Slash likes a few solos in epics. And Riad and Sorry could be like the Garden of Eden and Don't Cry.Probably Shacklers, Scraped, If the World and Prostitute are the next level. they are a little beyond UYI.I always though Slash would dig the doomy Sorry and appreciate that Immigrant Song/Hey Bulldog riff in Riad, woulda been cool to see him spin a riff on Sorry somewhere. maynard
Too bad Axl decided to follow trends and sound "cool" to the 2000 kids (in his head, at least). Had he stuck to his real strength (hard rock and rock ballads), maybe CD wouldn't be the messy copy-paste music turd it is.
Nosaj Thing
The problem with CD is not the music, it's the boring, lame, childish, bitter lyrics and terrible weak vocals. An album made by real Guns N' Roses with the same "problem" would have sucked as much as CD. I wouldn't find a difference, to be honest.
