dalsh327
The comics were a fun read that stirred things up because they were fully unauthorized but most people were flattered that they did it....well almost everyone. I'm sure he's signed a few since then.

dalsh327
The sad part about R&R Comics is that the co-founder was murdered around 20 years ago, and they think it was the same guy that killed Versace. stella
That comic had such gross inaccuracies...it seemed as though they just made shit up instead of actually doing research.

stella
That comic had such gross inaccuracies...it seemed as though they just made shit up instead of actually doing research. You're also talking about "research" being Circus and Hit Parader. Those comics made Hit Parader and Circus look like the Encyclopedia Britannica...Back in the day I remember they got sued a lot, and they were always like FREEDOM OF SPEECH1111!!!! IMHO they failed to realize that one of the legitimate reasons that some of the bands were upset is that the comics were presented as factual biographies, and meanwhile they had so much made up shit that it wasn't even funny. They had great artists sometimes and their parodies were hilarious, though. I remember they did one with Keith Richards as a spokesperson for a charity for heroin. LOL. And another really funny one about Dan Quayle that was spot on..."Great Morons in History" or something along those lines.
Rustycage
When you take comics seriously, it's time to take stock of your priorities.
stella
Comics can have amazing art and writing. I don't know how anyone could pick up Maus or Persopolis and think they're trivial, for instance. In the case of R&RC the problem was that kids who read the comics *did* take them as factual.
