Bon Jovi owns Guns

The Beatles and Elvis have sold over a billion records. Bon Jovi has sold 100 million records worldwide, while Guns N' Roses have sold about 87 million records worldwide, but Bon Jovi has almost released triple the amount of records that GN'R has. So if you take that into consideration, GN'R was more popular. They sold more copies per album. ;)

Bon jovi has released 9 studio albums 1 greatest hits and 1 live album. Thats not triple not even double.

That's 2 Greatest Hits albums (This Left feels Right). Alright so Bon Jovi has released 11 albums, and GN'R 7. 4 more albums released is still a major factor. Just think how many more albums GN'R would have sold if they had released 4 more albums. (GN'R has released 3 studio albums, 1 EP, 1 Live album, 1 cover album, and 1 Greatest Hits collection)

This Left Feels Right is a studio album...... Totally different music and some songs were changed lyric wise a little. If you want to classify it as a greatest hits then thats up to you. But side by side these are greatly different songs and thank goodness they were not written this way the first time around. Oh and by the way :D GNR has released 8 albums. You forgot one...can you guess which one?

live like a suicide, appetite, lies, illusion 1, illusion 2, SI, live era, and the not so greatest hits, for a total of 8. The first release was limited to a pressing of 10,000---

Well if you want to count Live Like A Suicide then its 9. Still one more out there to go. Can you guess ? Surely not every one has forgotten it.

The "Live In The Jungle" EP was a Japan-release only, therefore it does not count as a wide release.

So do you also count the edited Walmart Appetite For Destruction CD? A CD especially made for Walmart is not a wide release. I buy all of my CDs in Best Buy and am I gonna find my CD there? (example) Walmart is not even a top retailer in the Compact Disc business. But the other albums I mentioned you can find pretty much everywhere, counting the Bon Jovi albums as well.

You know you have your opinion I have mine. It was a release, it has been tallied in the 80 million sold. So was the other one you mentioned( i didnt know about that one myself). And I beg to differ Walmart is a powerhouse in cd sales. It has been said before that AFD was a surprise for selling so well even when it wasnt sold at Walmart for years. Axl repackaged Illusions just for Walmart that says something. But getting back on topic Bon Jovi doesnt own GNR or vice versa. They have both made solid rock n roll. Bon Jovi's new box set is great, 3 cd's of never before heard music, 1 bside cd, and one dvd. I hope whoever winds up with controlling GNR's past music will do something like this someday.
