Hampi Posted November 16, 2004 Posted November 16, 2004 Shadows collide with people has some fanatastic music on, as does the will to death. Its not funky thery are just good chord progression and nice arrangments, oh and his voice is better than Anthony Kiedis' in opinion Quote

forcechangenow Posted November 17, 2004 Posted November 17, 2004 (edited) 1) Deron Miller- He's not the best guitar player (he is pretty damn good though), but what he does play, he plays well, he has a wide range of types of music he plays, and he's one hell of a songwriter. and therefore, gets my number one spot.2) Yngwie Malmsteen - If you've heard him play, you know why I put him on here. In my opinion, one of the top 5 greatest guitar players EVER. and he has some good music. Great solos.3)Jimi Hendrix - Unlike other peoples beliefes, he is not the best guitar player ever. He's more of an innovator, and I have tremendous respect for him. He's probably the person who complatley changed the guitar, for the better. 4)Joe Satriani - wow, great guitar player. 5)James Hetfield - Damn good guitar player, Kirk is lead, but he writes most of the music, and hes damn good at it. Great guitar player too. 6) Kirk Hammett- probably one of the best guitar players ever. Maybe top 10. His solos are amazing.7)Joe Walsh - Do I need to say anything else?8)Eric Clapton - Innovator, he helped hendrix change the way the guitar is played. Great guitar player, and his music is awesome. 9) Jimmy Page - Not the best, but damn good. love his stuff, great songwriter. Probably one of the most influential guitar players ever.10) Slash- Here he is, the one you've all been waiting for. he's a great guitar player, I like his stuff with Guns N' Roses a lot better. i don't like VR very much. I love his style of playing, theres just something about it. And that rounds out my top 10 favorite guitar players.Steve Vai and Angus Young get honorable mention.
