Kurt.

I hate nirvana, no musical talent. And the lead vocallist was a miserable junkie loser who wrote nothing but songs about his own depression and shit.

I agree with you 100%!!!

I hate Nirvana, too!!! :anger:

Can't choose between Jimi and Bon, a guitarist and a frontman. Would love to hear them TOGETHER--like we just had Brian Johnson with Slash!!! rock3

1. Elvis Presley

2. Johnny Cash

3. John Lennon

4. Freddie Mercury

5. Jim Morrison

6. George Harrison

7. Ronnie Van Zant

8. John Bonham

On the subject of Kurt Cobain, it's hard to say that he was a good musician. He wasn't much of a guitarist to be honest, and his songwriting lacked. He obviously had a lot of charisma, and is a music legend despite what talents he lacked. I don't feel sorry about his death, though. I often hear about people mourning his death, but he took his life away from himself. It's a shame he couldn't cope with life, but he's not a tragic figure in my eyes. Not a hero either.

Precisely my point. No one hardly cared when Layne Staley died, and Alice In Chains was definately the better band, even at the time!

I would add also Janis Joplin to the list. To feel the power of her voice in person...don't know if I could handle it...

Why didn't anyone mention Layne Staley of Alice N' Chains. Was he not good enough? Some damn great music was made by that man. And how about Dave Williams of Drowning Pool, who died at the short age of 30. Wanna remember guitarists? How about Cliff Burton of Metallica. He as a god man.
