i use power dvd to watch dvds like welcome to the videos etc i can use windows media but i have the same problem when i take a screen shot i do the following

1) open the file find the place or the scene i want a picture of and pause it

2) i take a screenshot with 'print screen'

3) i paste it into paint and go save as

4) i chose jpeg and then save

but when i open the file its just a black screen. i have tried

1) jpeg

2) gif

3) 24-bit BMP

if you could advise me on how to do it propperly it would be much appreciated

I heard there was an option on winDVD to do it, but I didn't find it. I have the same problem.

Some DVD-programs have it but it's been unabled for newer versions because of legal causes. So you might find a screenshot button which won't work.
