I love both of them. Randy died way too soon. They both came out of LA around the same time, Randy hit it semi-big with Quiet Riot in Japan and then later with Ozzy. Eddie hit it big in 78.

I've bein listenin to van halen since i was a kid. I still remember listening to eruption when i was about 6 for the first time and it changed my life ! I couldnt believe someone could play that fast on guitar ... only gods could... Hence EVH is god !

Rhandy Rhoads, EVH may have eruption but i Rhandy has the Crazy Train solo, Mr. Crowley, Flying High Again, Goodbye to Romance. Truely a guitar god. Too bad he died waaayyy too early

Not sure if he was a better guitarist that Eddie Van Halen or not but i like him more..There is something speciall about the way he made his guitar sound,specially in the "Blizzard Of Oz" album..

RR (R.I.P) What a guitarist he was. Totally brilliant. He'd play all this finger tapping stuff then stop and play with feel. And he used a Les Paul instead of a "superstrat" type guitar. Also, if the tragic accident hadn't occured i think RR would've been one of the greatest guitar players ever. Defo top 5

OMFG Randy Rhodes and fuck you guys who voted eddie cuz he is no where as close to being as good as rhodes was. First of all, for those who are obsessing over eruption. ITS NOT THE BEST FUCKING SOLO IN THE WORLD. HOLY SHIT! There are songs in metal that may suck but have better solos than eruption. And just listen to randy rhodes in Mr. Crowley, and Crazy train for that matter. FUCK EVH he sucks!
