I understand that some of these guitarits were influential in their time, like Kurt Cobain and Johnny Ramone, but they shouldnt have recieved such a high spot because they really weren't that great of players. And where's Steve Vai and Yngwie Malmsteen??? And the worst is that Eddie Van Halen was put at 70, and Kurt Cobain at 12?!?! Thatz just wrong....

Here are my injustices

Eric Clapton and B.B. King over Robert Johnson? They would both be working in factories if it weren't for Johnson. Jeff Beck behind Kurt Cobain? GUITAR key word right? 17 Jack White, what the fuck? EVH at 70, ANGUS AT 96! WHAT. Joni Mitchell on the list at all, why? Tony Iommi AND Randy Rhoads should be top 50.

However here are some players that are a bit more obscure and although they should've been higher, I'm glad they are on here.

65 Hubert Sumlin - One of the most demented guitar sounds ever, if you didn't know, he was Howlin' Wolf's guitarist.

63 Danny Gatton - Mixed rockabilly and jazz to great effect, we lost him too soon. Check out "Redneck Jazz".

57 Roy Buchanan - Extremely versatile, along with Danny Gatton was a leader of the DC scene. He could play you rockabilly, blues, or do some Rock N' Roll balladry that would make you cry. Died too young and very tragically.

49 John McLaughlin - Simply played with more fire than anyone before or after, played on some of Miles Davis' early fusion records before doing some brilliant Indian music with the group "Shakti".

25 Freddy King - The man could swing like no one else.

8 Ry Cooder - Best slide player there is, really should be ahead of Duane Allman.

cobain?? I'm a better guitarist then cobain  and wheres slash :anger:

Come on this is fucking Rolling Stone magazine! Possibly one of the most dire music magazines ever created. None of their issues have ever grabbed my interest. Actually I'm not even sure if most retailers even sell the magazine as its so crap! I should have known a list created by the losers of Rolling stone would disappoint a lot of users and no doubt me, they always do! They have absolutely no hint of acknoweldgement of DECENT music. Rolling Stone= Rolling eyes, yet again
